Contourwear Quick Dry ZOP3 Convertible Shrug Pant - Women's - 2007

Don't sit inside wondering what kind of weather the day will bring. Head out for a cool morning hike with the low-rise Contourwear Women's ZOP3 Convertible Shrug Pants. Once the morning mist burns off, use the drawcord to convert the pants into capris. When the sun hits its zenith, zip off the bottoms and carry on wearing shorts. Stretch nylon fabric lets you move freely no matter what length you wear the Z0P3s.

Bottom Line: Whether you're in the mood for pants, capris, or shorts, Contourwear's ZOP3 Convertible Shrug Pants can satisfy.

Zippers on legs

By:
December 27, 2007

Great pants overall, but you cannot vent both legs due to how the zippers unzip. Also, there is not a layer of material inside the pans on the zipper, so they can cause discomfort- rubbing.

Because they are made for hiking, they will feature a bit of a baggier fit to accommodate movement but nothing too extreme. I would go true with your normal size, which would give you the most comfortable fit.

not so low rise

By:
June 19, 2009

I really liked the fabric and style, but when I tried them on the legs fit great, even a bit baggie, but the 'low rise' waist was too tight. I am disappointed because it is almost impossible to find a low rise hiking convertible pant. I think a size larger would just be huge in legs and length. Bummer.

Look great but

By:
January 29, 2009

I wore these while backpacking and discovered that they are very stylish but can become uncomfortable with a pack on your back. There is no material under the zipper and I had a red welt from the zipper rubbing on my skin to prove it. It also lines up with the hip belt on my pack. There is also no belt loops to hang a water bottle or take up the slack with a belt when weight loss kicks in on long treks. I snagged the material on bushes and wore them out on one 6 day trip. The pants would be great for vacationing and walking but not back packing.

The image is showing the pants and shorts only. They only become capri's when using the pull cords at the pant cuffs, it's a 3 in one deal. They feature the sport rise that Contourwear offers which is 1-2" below the belly button.

Pretty great (unless you're combatting high levels of mosquitos)

By:
January 4, 2009

Incredibly comfortable pants, and very flattering (for me, a 26year old, average sized woman). They live up to their "quick dry" name and the fabric is very lightweight and breathable. Backcountry shipped very quickly and returning another pair of pants was very easy.

(Just a tip - if you plan on wearing these in a mosquito-rich area, such as the Amazon jungle, like I did, you may have an issue with bug bites through the thigh and rear. I permethrin treated the pants and wore deet bug spray, but have many bites just in that area. Best hypothesis: it could be because the pants are fitted through this area so there was less of a "buffer" zone between leg & pants)

Might due the job but returning...

By:
December 8, 2008

1. These pants are not low rise.
2. Nice material.
3. Drawstring to pull into capris not very functional or attractive.
4. No zipper at leg in order to slide over your shoes when converting to shorts...you would have to remove your shoes.
5. Backcountry shipped order fast!! Thanks!
