Depends on how cold. You could count on them down into the mid to upper 20's but I don't know that I'd trust them lower than that.Hope that helps.

I haven't taken these on a long hike/trip yet, but they've been great on short snowshoeing hikes. I have narrow feet and I haven't had any problems with rubbing.
