When cold weather threatens to spoil your outdoor adventure, zip up the Columbia Women's Tiger Eye 700-Fill Down Jacket and enjoy luxurious warmth. The Tiger Eye Jacket's ripstop shell takes the bite out of ferocious wind, while its quality 700-fill down will make you think you just saddled up to a cozy fire. When you don't need it, stuff the Tiger Eye Down Jacket into its own pocket and throw it in your pack. Columbia finished off this versatile jacket by giving it a feminine cut and exterior quilting, making the Tiger Eye stylish enough for a few microbrews after a long day of skiing.
Bottom Line: The Columbia Tiger Eye Down Jacket provides lightweight warmth in a stylish package.
I live in Syracuse, NY where (according to wikipedia) it snows more than any other U.S. city. So far I am really happy with my coat. The cherry color is nice. It hasn't been too windy to judge if the coat will cut the breeze, but I am guessing yes. The coat is very warm, particularly with the sleeve cuffs and form-fit. I am thin-built, 5'1" and it is difficult to find a coat that fits. The sleeves are the right length when other coats have been too short. And the fit is well contoured to go over a heavy sweater snuggly. Only problems are that the feathers sneak out the seems. Also, the coat is only water resistant, so rain beads at the start but the coat eventually gets wet.
Nancy that's going to happen with any down jacket, especially new ones. During construction of the jacket some of the down gets trapped, usually in seams, and eventually works its way to the surface. There really isn't anything you can do to "seal" the jacket short of covering the entire inside with duct tape. If you're just leaking a few feathers, then I wouldn't worry about it. However if you suddenly empty a baffle then it's time to head back to the store and warranty the jacket.
The jacket is stylish looking, has neat sleek cuffs to seal in warmth, and it is super-warm! The down feathers do sneak out the seams a bit. Overall, though, I am really happy with this item. It also squishes up pretty small into its own little pocket (this took a bit of practice to figure out how to do, but once you've got it, you're fine). Doubles as a pillow for long trips!
I bought this down jacket for my girlfriend and she loves it! She can't stop talking about how great it is. Its extremely durable yet lightweight. The 700 down filling keeps her toasty warm in any situation, day or night, and its not as bulky as many other down jackets. Very nice item.
Bought this coat for my wife, who is not a coat person and she loves it. One problem, however, is that it does not fit in to her shell, which is a parka. Other than that a great deal.
HelloI am in England. If the jacket is unsuitable, could you please advise if and how it could be returned to you? Do you have a free return system?ThanksAnn
They have a great return system. If the jacket you order is unsuitable, they will accept your return with no questions asked and give you a full refund. You do however have to pay to have it shipped back to the store though.
The jacket arrived quickly but was flat. I hung it up for a day. Amazing "puffy jacket" and the warmest coat I have had since a Holubar. SWEET BLUE COLOR! Perfect sleeve cuffs. Toasty I must say! Highly recommend this coat.
