Columbia Steep Slope Parka - Boys'

Whether he skis, rides, or kills it on his twin-runner sled, the Columbia Boys' Steep Slope Parka protects him from winter's weather. The Steep Slope comes with a removable hooded sweatshirt that your boy can wear under the shell for added warmth or by itself on days he takes his skills to the skatepark instead of the slopes. An attached fleece face mask protects his face from blasts of wind and snow.

Bottom Line: A hoody and winter jacket, all in one.

Nice Jacket

By:

We really feel we got a good deal on this jacket. Of course we weren't suprised by the quality, it is Columbia after all. I thought the sweatshirt as the liner was an interesting concept. The built in face mask in the hood of the sweatshirt is really cool. But best of all if the sweatshirt ends of wet or worn out the jacket is capable of accepting other compatable liners. Most of all, my kid loves it which is important since getting him to wear it is half the battle.

the liner is a blend of cotton and poly, and that fabric is treated with Omni-Shield... allowing water to bead on the surface.

It is designed to keep moisture away from the body

So far, so good

By:
November 7, 2009

Son likes it so far.... He says that it's comfortable and that he likes it. By the end of the winter, I'll know how it withstands asphalt, cat claws, lighting hairspray on fire, 5th grade playgrounds and a wild, young skier/snowboarder.

Overall, it looks like a great jacket and I fully expect it to last a couple of years. It looks to be well made.
