Zip your infant girl in the Columbia Snow Powder Down Bunting when you head out for a winter sleigh ride. This 450-fill down bunting covers your little one in warmth from head to toe while you sing carols and sip hot cider. The soft to the touch taffeta lining keeps her comfortable for the long haul, and the hood pulls up to protect her ears from the wind. Open the full-length zipper when you need to change her diaper, and fold over the hand and foot flaps to prevent winter’s chill from nipping at her digits.
Great snowsuit!! I bought a size 18mos for my 12 month old and it should be perfect for the whole season. We live in Alaska and I am not worried at all about her getting cold in this cozy down bunting!
I ordered the 18mo size for my November 1yr old. It fits big but it's not so puffy that it makes it intolerable. I am very satisfied with the fit and warmth. No worries for cold, cold weather.I actually thought I ordered the solid lollipop color and I really ordered the lollipop bubble print which I wasn't crazy about when looking online, but it is VERY cute!! Picky mother, very satisfied.
I have a 6 month old and I was wondering what size should I get. She will be 12 months in April. My concern if I order a 6 month suite that it will not last her the winter. Can someone tell me if they fit big or not?
the fit is generous, without creating too much dead air space. You should be able to make it, but growth spurts are very possible and capable of proving me wrong!
We bought this for our 5 month old and it's absolutely adorable! This thing is going to be plenty warm.... down..... covers for hands and feet etc. It is really super cozy and did I say that these are adorable!!!
Can someone please tell me if this has the extra elasticized lining around the leg to be tucked into boots? Also, my daughter is almost 12 months but on the small side. Was thinking of getting her an 18 month but wasn't sure if it would be way to big? Thanks for your help!
two things... - the fit is generous and too big a fit will not insulate well. - the foot and hand flaps flip out over their respective part. the seams of the foot could be quite a bit to shove into a boot. keeping it open to a nice sock and foot for hte boot may be a better way to keep the little one warm
I just love, love, love this suit. I bought the lollipop color in size 6 months for my 3 month old last year. I can honestly say that it made transporting her very easy. I didn't have to worry about the elements getting her because it's mighty warm. I will be getting another this year!
I am wondering if the Sweet Pea color is a light purple or a medium purple color? I've seen it in the store and there is a lighter purple and a medium one.
I was thrilled to find this suit and this site. It came super quick and we've gotten lots of use out of it. It's very warm, and I love the foot & had flaps. She's outgrown the foot flaps, so her boots stick out the bottom now, but it's no problem. It's very soft.. it's down.. so it fits well in her car seat straps & she has lots of mobility and doesn't squirm or fuss getting in it. I thinks she gets excited 'cuz she knows it means snow time! It's great for being outside, but I put it on her on days like today (10 degrees) and we're just running errands. It keeps her legs much warmer than just pants in the car and I unzip & bring down the top half in a store so she doesn't overheat. Love it!!!!!
this bunting gives you the option to flip the cuffs over on the sleeves to cover the hand, and the leg to cover the feet. Keeping the leg flipped up will keep out of a boot and allow a walking child to do so comfortably
This snowsuit is not only adorable but it is so warm and cozy yet not too puffy for our little one. She looks great in it and is very easy to put on her. It keeps her nice and bundled in the winter.
this suit is fabulous for out and about - i ofund it so well insulated it was a bit much for our car seat. my daughter was six months wearing this so maybe for an older baby it may work better in the carseat
It's not as poofy as it looks like in the picture which is a good thing. It's hard enough to hold an active infant without losing your grip with bulky clothing. The color is exact and I do believe the fit is just about perfect. We haven't tried it in the snow yet, but it's very warm and seems to be comfortable.
don't love the color, but i hose it because is was 50% less. and so what. it is VERY cute and easy to get on and off. plus we love that the feet and hands can be covered as our daughter does not like mittens.
I would get a waterproof suit as she will just be sitting and crawling. We bought some big galoshes for our daughter and put tons of socks on her to keep her warm and dry. Not many options for boots until they get older.
I just got this item in red for my 5mo. old. Looks alot thinner in person. I thought it would be filled more for warmth. Does it really keep baby warm? How are you sure?
I just got back from Moab 11.10.08 for the weekend and we have a one year old that came with us. It got down to 20 degrees one night and she was toasty in the dalmation print. She slept through the whole night! We did layer some thick fleece PJs underneath.
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It is nice and warm without being overly puffy. Perfect for a stroller ride in the cold! Runs true to size and accomidates for the thicker winter layers. The hand and foot flaps cover completely to keep warmth in, and fold back so she can grip toys, etc when not outside. LOVE it.
I am looking for a snow suit for my 6 month old and have concerns about some snowsuits where I would have to purchase boots and mitts that may be a challenge to put on a 6 month old as I have read on other websites. The Columbia Snow Powder Down Bunting have flaps so this is not an issue. Can you please tell me if they seal tight? By the picture it looks like the hands are well sealed but not sure about the feet.
This suit is great! I carry my baby everywhere in an Ergo babycarrier and so I needed a lightweight suit - this one is perfect! It is very warm, light and comfortable for him. He won't wear mitts so the foldover sleeves were essential. I was also impressed with how quickly it reached me - I ordered through Amazon (by courier) and it reached me 2 business days later. Very good product from Columbia and very good service from Backcountry and Amazon!
I live in Ireland and bought this suit for my niece who is out and about in her pram in Chicago in temperatures of -20 degrees at the moment. She is a rascal for taking off her mittens and kicking off her boots so this suit is ideal as she can't get her hands or feet out of the flaps. My brother received the suit without delay or problem with the order and is delighted with the warmth it provides for his daughter, one less problem to worry about. Thanks guys.
This was the perfect down and water resistant snow suit for our 8 month old girl during our trip to Utah. Would recommend the six month size up to an average nine month old. Cozy and also fit into the Baby Bjorn.
