Columbia Ruby Stardust Parka - Women's - 2007

When the weather forecast includes everything from snow to sun, break out the Columbia Women's Ruby Stardust Parka and head for the lift. With the Ruby Stardust Jacket's 3-in-1 liner system, you'll be ready for anything. Wear this Columbia jacket's removable liner and shell together when 2inch storm he forecast turns into a 16 inch dump. If temperatures begin to heat up, wear the shell without the liner and unzip the Underarm zips for instant air conditioning as you ski down. Columbia gave the Ruby Stardust Parka pockets galore, so you'll never run out of places to stash essentials. Store a balaclava in the hidden napoleon pocket, your sunglasses in the goggle compartment, and chilly hands in the lower front pockets.

Bottom Line: Be ready for all of Old Man Winter's tricks in the Columbia Ruby Stardust Jacket.

Cheap materials, badly finished

By:

I'm returning mine. Too much cheap, noisy velcro for my liking and it's not finished nicely compared to something like a north face jacket. Material in the outer jacket is not great quality. So I wasn't surprised to read "made in China" on the label. The flap of the zipper (on the black jacket), which falls open when the zip is pulled down a bit, is a cream color which I don't like. The best thing about the jacket is the removable fleece which you could wear independently of the coat itself. But I didn't sign up for an expensive fleece.

Coat is Great!

By:

I haven't worn it in the winter but the coat so far fits great and shipped with no problem...the inner fleece can be taken out which is handy and it's kept me more than warm this spring...the other night was cold and windy and even though my friends were chilly I was fine

Does the liner zip in and out or is it just a separate piece?

Does the liner zip in and out or is it just a separate piece? Also, does the inner liner have a soft fleece type lining?

Great coat!

By:
April 18, 2008

I'm a Texas girl, so Colorado in the winter looked daunting! I got this coat and it was almost perfect! Almost too warm at times, but then I could take out the fleece lining. The outer coat really does keep the wind out! It was a tad snug, so it runs a little small, but I wouldn't trade it for another coat.
