Columbia Rodeo Magic II Jacket - Boys'

Stick your kid inside the Columbia Boys’ Rodeo Magic II Jacket and he’ll stay out for way more than eight seconds. Omni-Tech waterproof breathable construction and lightweight polyester insulation keep him dry and warm for the duration. Critically sealed seams help stop seepage, ‘cause even little seam leaks make your kid soggy over the course of the day.

  • Adjustable powder skirt keeps snow from getting into your kid’s jacket
  • Front storm flap blocks wind
  • Fleece lined collar won’t irritate your kid’s neck
  • Tons of pockets let your kid bring everything he needs to the mountain
  • Interchange System lets you zip in compatible Columbia fleece jackets

Bottom Line: When he wears the Magic Rodeo, you’re kid will ride like a buckin’ bronco.

How warm is this jacket? I am looking for a general winter jacket

How warm is this jacket? I am looking for a general winter jacket for my boys (7 & 9) and I want one for outside play, recess (45 min), sledding, skiing. Outside time could last up to several hours. They would be active however.

Also, is it a bulky or more fitted, thin jacket?

If this jacket is not a good fit, can you suggest one?

Thanks.

I am a fan of this jacket. It is burly and resilient for a rough and tumble kiddo and still not too heavy for the heat generated by that same kiddo. It is a warmer jacket and built to breathe. it is not thin, too fitted or too skimpy.
