Need a comfortable, casual pair of pants for your trip to Europe this year? The Columbia Roc Pant for men is a stylish, relaxed pair of khakis with a side zip security pocket. You'll be ready for crowed train stations and soccer stadiums with your wallet and passport safely stowed. The colors are conservative enough to wear into almost anywhere so you won't have to worry about getting kicked to the curb trying to get into the Vatican.
Bottom Line: Whatever your destination, go there with the Columbia Roc Pant.
These pants offer a nice compromise between jeans and chinos. You can dress them up or down as the situation dictates. Well made and comfortable across a range of temps and conditions. Good choice of mute colors. You'll not be disappointed..
The thing I like best about these pants is the versatility. I work for an airline, so I'm expected to travel "business casual". These pants have that look, but they are way more comfortable than Dockers, and they can be worn for activities that require more durability. I, too, like the zippered hidden pocket. Great place for the car keys or cell phone, or money/license/etc. if you don't care to carry a wallet. Great price as well.
OK, great fit, perfect functionality. I will subtract 1 star cause of the ridiculously flimsy waist fastener/button. OK, I have a little gut, but every time I flex the abs, my button comes undone. I have to always wear a belt! Upgrade the strength please!
They are comfortable and clean easy. I work in these pants and get them dirty all the time. Just a little spray and wash gets most anything out. I where the light color "Stone" and don't give it a second thought when I neal on the floor to fix something. They look nice like Dockers but where like geans. After about 20 washings they shrink a little in the length so I but 1 size longer because they last so long. I where 36 x 34 so I have to order on line because REI and local stores carry 32 inseam mostly. The extra zipper pocket on the right side is pirfict for a cell phone.
Fit well and are very durable. I ware them to work and get them very dirty, they always wash out. Over time they will shrink in length but the waist stays about the same.
the Lander has a full-length gussett, making the ROC have fewer panels and look simpler. the Lander would have more articulation with those added panels, by design
I have had 3 pair, one pair was a little longer than the other two, but not a problem for me. Great material. I am very happy with the pants but I have to admit the low-low sales price was a big motivator.
These are the most comfortable pants I have ever owned.I have 4 pairs. They have replaced my jeans since they are so much more comfortable. They are what I travel in all of the time.
Hi, I wear nothing but the Roc pants and have since they came out. I have had to buy tons of them because my size is 31/31. Most what I have I cannot wear because the 32 waist are too huge and the 30 waist is too tight. The 32 length is too long (and so is the crotch) and the 30 length is too short. I have found some of these combonations to actually fit so what I need is some custom at 31/31 or I need to find a store that has a ton of them in stock so I can try a ton on. I need ten more pair. Jerry
I am very happy with these pants. They are light weight and comfortable, but still look professional enough for work. Pocket system is very good. I would agree with what others have said about the size- they do run a little bigger than some. For me, normally a 35w, a 34w fits right.
You won't be disappointed with these pants, or the service you'll get.
I didn't realize that these pants have a utility pocket on the back of the right leg. I wanted to wear these for some dressy occasions, but I do not like this pocket on my dress pants. However, I really love the pants!! They are very comfortable and look great. They feel great!!
I wear these to work in the office. Great look, very relaxed & comfortable, but still look professional. The darker colors do tend to fade after many washes, but they still look ok. I have several pairs.
this was my first time buying from backcountry, and am satisfied. My columbia roc pants were for the sole pupose of hiking, but i fell so in love w/them that i nixed that notion and purchased another pair just to hang out in. (i.e.) street. they are very comfortable, more so than my favorite Dockers. wow did i just say that?
These immediately became my new favorite pair of pants. Exceptionally comfortable. Lack of cargo pockets means you could probably get away with wearing them as business casual. They're also great for hiking, walking around town, relaxing, etc. The zip pocket is great for security. These are excellent travel pants.
These are wonderful pants, especially for the price. Great fit, good length. I am 6' 1" and 190lbs, 34x34 fits me perfect. The cut lets me move freely. Definitely going to order more in different colors.
I now have 3 pair. They are some of my favorite pants because they are soft yet sturdy, light weight, comfortable, stylish, casual but dressy, versatile, nice colors, great price & fit.
These are very comfortable! I can hike in them, but also wear them to work where I have to dress "business casual." Security pocket is a nice touch. The fit is great too, I'm really tall (6' 3") so I wasn't sure what I'd get with a 36 long, but the length is just right.
I saw these pants at a sporting goods store and loved them but they did not have my size. I searched on line and found them here at this site. Great price and quick shipping Thank You.
Great pants which fit true to size. I echo others comments that these are a good "bridge" pant allowing you to dress up or down. Very nice that the country of origin is something other than the big "C". Best of all the little side pocket dongle shows that I am a man of action as I swagger from my cubicle to the vending machines.
I've loved Columbia ROC Pants since I got my first pair 5 years ago. I recently purchased my 4th and 5th pair. I wear them for everything from business casual to hiking. Good looking and tough wearing. I hope they never stop making them!
I bought my first pair of Columbia Roc pants about 5 years ago. Since then....no other pants compare in terms of comfort, style and versatility. They are THE most comfortable pants. They feel like you are wearing sweatpants almost from the first time you put them on. They can be worn in the office or out in the woods, or out on the town. Of course nothing is perfect. If I had to say anything negative about them it would be that they wrinkle a little too easy. I owe probably around 7 or 8 pairs of these pants. In the process of replacing older pairs due to just wearing the heck out of them. So the older pairs are not worn to the office but they are worn every where else. If Columbia ever stops making these pants I will cry!
Inventory control bites. Here's my story, sad but true: Site says they have my size in stock, so I commit. Next day, a goofy apology email shows up with a recommendation to go with another color. I bite. Guess what? Out of stock.
I thought online would make things quicker, and the site is witty and fun. But they clearly do not have a grip on inventory, so I'm breaking up after a single date. Like going on a blind date and halfway through texting your buddies to see where you can meet up after dumping her. Sorry. You looked cute in the online photo, but it turns out that in person you're kind of vapid. I'm just not feeling the vibe.
I am 67 years young. The Columbia Roc pants are a good value, comfortable, stylish and make me feel like I am 37. Great pants and great service from Backcountry.
