Columbia Omni-Dry Mountain Tech T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's
From fall trail runs to cold days on the ski hill, the Columbia Men’s Omni-Dry Mountain Tech Short-Sleeve T-Shirt should be next to your skin. This wicking base-layer shirt works by itself or as the start of a layering system and dries quickly so you don’t get the chills. Columbia also added UPF 15 sun protection and an antimicrobial finish to ward off UV rays and funky odors.
Bottom Line: Get techy when you head to the mountains.
I have 8 white shirts that I use for my everyday undershirts and four other colors that I use for other assorted uses... This shirt is a true multitool! I wear these shirts everyday as an undershirt. I wear the other colors as my single top layer for backpacking. They perform great AND look great! What else do you need?
This shirt seemed to be thicker than any other 100% polyester shirt I have ever owned. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. It seemed to wick okay, but since it was so thick, dried slower, was warmer, but was also more durable The stink, still poly-present, but less than some. The fit was less athletically cut than some, but true to size. Good for hiking in non-extreme temps, bad for running
Hey Josh. I poked around and couldn't find the weight of the shirt, even on Columbia's website. I would, however, suggest avoiding synthetic shirts unless you're going to have the opportunity to wash them. They will get smelly really fast. Might I suggest something made of Merino wool instead? Icebreaker in particular makes fantastic shirts that won't smell nearly as bad and are super light. Check 'em out.
haven't worn it doing anything too sweaty, but it is more comfortable than a lot of the other tech tees. seems sturdy enough to hold up to a pack and/or climbing/hiking. the fit is right on, perfect length...i often have a problem with them being too short. may increase the rating once i see how well it wicks and dries
Bought some Columbia, North Face, and Mountain Hardware shirts, and these and the North Face were very similar and both very good. Comfortable, nice feel, dries quickly, seems durable. It's everything you'd want it to be. Would definitely buy more of these.
I've bought several different wicking Ts but Columbia is by far the best. wicks well, wears better and lasts a long time. I have 3 so far and I use them for every thing from trearing up the trail on my MT bike to Yoga class
