Columbia Mountain Heritage Parka - Women's - 2008

One day it’s cold and dry, then it rains, then it snows, then it gets warm. The Columbia Women’s Mountain Heritage Parka adapts to handle all conditions in town and in the mountains. The combination of a waterproof breathable shell and an insulated liner jacket lets you use two pieces together or separately to stay comfortable and dry no matter what Mother Nature throws your way. Underarm zips help you cool off if the temperatures rise unexpectedly, and the Columbia Mountain Heritage Parka also includes a removable storm hood and integrated powder skirt to keep you protected on deep powder days.

Can you tell me how long this jacket is? Where does it hit, at the hips, above or below? Also, is the jacket slightly cinched at the waist? I don't like the boxy look of columbia, but they do make nice jackets.

I've seen this in the Winter 08/09 Snow+Rock catalogue and the colour is much stronger and brighter which is what I liked - the picture on here looks slightly 'washed out'. Does anyone know the exact colour?

runs smaller than my old ('99) columbia 3 in 1 coat.. The medium I ordered was much smaller than the medium I already had. ... so think it runs a little small. other than that the color of the coat is slightly more saturated than displayed online, and is gorgeous.
