Great Jacket

By:

This jacket is great. My son loves it but I disagree that it runs large.. From reading the post above I first ordered the 10/12 and had to send it back. My son is 10 and weighs 76 pounds and if you want to wear a sweatshirt underneath get the 14/16

My son loves this rain jacket. It keeps him dry, fits great, looks great, and breathes well. A keeper.

Great Jacket

By:
April 14, 2008

My son used this jacket on a weekend hike with DRENCHING rain - collapsed ALL the tents - and he was the only dry one in camp. He wore it as a shell layer over a mid and base insulating layer on Clingman's dome - temp 35 degrees and wind at 45mph and was warm. We took off the shell at 65 degrees during an active hike down. Over EXCELLENT value for a breathable shell that is truly waterproof. He says it is "Awesome".

Runs large

This jacket is a great windbreaker - but watch out. The 14/16 size runs very large - I had to buy a smaller sized jacket for my son (5'1") for now - am keeping this one for a year or so from now!
