PERFECT PANTS!

By:
May 15, 2009

I love these pants. I'm 5'5" and wear a size 8. I didn't have to do any alterations. Length is perfect. They feel heavenly. I like them so much, I found them in other colors and am buying more.

Nice Pants - Weird Fit and Length

By:
November 5, 2007

I ordered these pants and am returning them for two reasons. The first is that the size 6 ran small. The other problem was the length - I am 5'5" and these were way too long to wear with flat travel shoes or hiking books. I didn't want to pay the expense of having them hemmed. Otherwise, I like the fabric and the soft feel of the inside.

Are these pants waterproof? Would they work for skiing?

They're not waterproof or insulated, just supposed to be a casual pant, not meant for skiing or anything.

Great for Northwest Weather!

By:
May 1, 2008

These pants kept me warm during our cold fall and winter this last year. The fleece lining is a wonderful addition to pants that are great for dressing in for work! Though they can get pretty warm inside! Just remember to NOT use fabric softener!

interesting pants

By:
October 17, 2007

I'm actually wearing them right now! They have kind of a shiny finish so they dress up really easily if you need to. They're kind of hot though for Texas fall weather. (the lining is like a thin fleece type material) Not quite what I expected, but unusual can be good..

Finally, black travel pants

By:
September 22, 2008

I loved the extra length and the confortable backing. Just what I was looking for in a travel pant that is light-weight, fast drying and in BLACK. What took Columbia so long to realize women like black pants?

Fantastic!

By:
April 22, 2009

These pants never wrinkle and the fabric is sooooo comfortable you don't want to take them off.
They run a bit big but it didn't really matter for me.
I wore them all over Europe and never saw a wrinkle. They also have a cool little pocket to put all kinds of valuable in for easy access.
I am ordering another pair.
Love 'em!

THE BEST EVER!

By:
January 10, 2008

Just came back from 2 weeks in India and wore them every day! LOVE, LOVE them! They were super comfortable in 10C and 30C degree weather. Dressed up really well for dinner and looked casual for day tripping. Super lightweight and resistant. Takes no space in backpack. Yes it has that funny thin fleece lining but I think that's to prevent static and absorb moisture. Didn't mind it - its actually super soft. I'm 5'10" and the regular 32" length is long enough - the 34' long version would've been way too long. I am buying 2 more in different colors.

great traveling pants, but very long

By:
March 5, 2008

After reading the reviews I ordered a short (i'm 5'4 1/2'', and I definitely needed the short. I own other columbia pants in 8 that are a little loose, but these 8s were quite huge. I returned them for a 6, which I am keeping, but I could probably get away with a 4.
They look nice, which makes them great for traveling as I don't have to pack anything else in case I have to dress up somewhere. I could even wear them to work (in a hospital).

Expect To Hem Them Up!

By:
August 16, 2008

I'm 5'8 but these are too long. These pants in black had a 33" inseam... but they are still great for travel!

A pleasant surprise

By:
February 24, 2009

I ordered the 8 Long, and they fit perfectly. And I'm usually an 8. I'm 5'9" and mostly legs (about 33 inches), so I struggle quite a bit when it comes to finding pants long enough. These fit the bill, and I had some reservations about ordering online, but since most outdoorsy stores don't offer much variety in pant lengths, I clicked through and crossed my fingers that they'd work. They did!
I hang dry them, and they don't wrinkle. I also packed them for a trip to Chile and they didn't wrinkle then either, and after wearing them home from Chile to Central Texas, they were still looking as though I'd just put them on.
And they have some water resistance. I tested this--accidentally today--when I spilled some water on them.
Thanks, Columbia.

Beautiful travel pants

By:
March 27, 2009

These pants have a very trim fit. The fabric is slightly shiny & very light weight. They easily could adapt from day to evening. They'll be great for light travel.

Simply Fabulous!

By:
January 19, 2009

I work in Marketing in New York City, and with my job I am in and out of the car all day long. Lately the weather has been brutally cold and wet, and I was noticing my legs were FREEZING! I was so excited when I found these pants. They are lightweight but warm and was surprised at how difficult it was to find an acceptable "business casual" pant that holds up to the elements. I was also impressed by the length. I am 5'9" and all legs- so its difficult to find a pant thats long enough (most end up cut off into capris, which is so not chic or winter friendly!). Thank you Columbia for such a wonderful product that exemplifies fashion and function!!!
