great buy, great socks

Backcountry sent me a message so I guess they want a response.
I've owned these kind of socks for years. great in cold wet weather for everyday use. Got my feet wet at the ocean and it was cold but my feet were nice and warm although wet. Hubby got these socks, I got tired of hearing him complain about his cotton socks, so I said, "your gonna try these" and gave him no choice. Now he wears them daily, his feet are warm, he's not have issues like he did with his cottom socks. Wool is ok to wear year round. thanks, c

Decent Socks

By:

I ordered 4 pairs of these socks for hiking. I have tried them out and they are super soft and comfortable, but the only problem I have had is with the size. I wear a size 13 shoe, so i got the XL, which is for 13-14 I think. After a few hours of hiking the toes began to pull a little bit and become elongated. After washing it returned to normal so it really isn't a problem. Other than that the socks are great for any weather, and I have not gotten a blister yet.

Excellent Hiking Socks

By:
January 25, 2008

I absolutely love these socks - have practically 'moved into' them. I put them on first thing in the morning and am glad I bought 4 pairs to keep me going. Hiking or no hiking, I just wanted some nice, warm, soft and cozy socks and that's exactly what I got. I'm sure these will be good for skiing also.

My daughter loves these - they're so soft, warm and cosy. They're a must for her upcoming school trip in Chicagoland this week and for our skiing weekends. Excellent!

These socks are great. They're warm, soft, and breathe well They kept me warm while hiking and in camp with temps in the teens. They breathe well so you can even wear them when its not cold out. Highly recommended.

Mother of All Socks

If these socks came in a wide assortment of colors, I wouldn't own any other socks. They are simply the perfect socks. You have to put your dogs in a pair to understand.

My favorite socks

These are the best socks out there. I bought four pair this week to replace four pair of the same socks I bought over EIGHT years ago. Needless to say, they last a long time. Cushy, cozy and never itchy, these socks are perfect for everyday wear and hiking. I've worn these in cold weather while kayaking (under my waterproof booties). I've even snowshoed in them, and these socks keep my feet warm even if they're wet. Excellent socks! Highly recommended.
