Columbia Fairytopia Set - Toddler Girls' - 2008

Grow cuffs on the pants and adjustable straps on the bib of the Columbia Toddler Girls’ Fairytopia Set let you adjust the bottoms as your girl grows, while a reversible insulated jacket provides cozy torso and head warmth. The lightly insulated bibs in this snow set add torso and leg warmth to your gal’s sledding sessions, and the water- and wind-resistant shell fabric helps block moisture when your girl makes snow angels in the back yard. Remove two seams and lengthen the pants for next season, and reverse the jacket for a new look.

Bottom Line: Lengthen the bib pants next season.

Kids Ski Coat and Bibs

By:

This set is warm and has performed as stated by Columbia. The jacket is reversible, that is a real plus. Being part of a family of skiers, the only issue I have is that the jacket doesn't have a location for the ski lift tag with out putting it on the center zipper. If you ski, you know that when you put the tag on the center zipper it whacks you in the face when coming down the mountain. We put the tag(s) on the bibs underneath and it just barely shows enough for the folks running the lifts to let us on. If they ever re-design this set, I would find a side zipper for the tag. Also, they should consider putting a zipper on the pant legs too, to get your boots on easier.

Do the grow cuffs make it a size bigger than you order? So, if I order a 2T, will the cuffs extend it to a 3T?

beautiful and warm set

By:
December 22, 2008

This is a great set, and we were very happy to find it on Backcountry as it is available in no stores near us. It fits well, it's warm, and after many trips out in the snow, our little one has never come inside with wet clothes under her snow suit. The bibs fit well and are fairly easy to take on and off. The jacket is snug, and the hood really does a great job covering her head and neck even if she won't keep a hat on. The only small critique I would have is that the "grow hem" on the bibs comes with no instructions whatsoever. I'm sure I can figure it out but it would be nice to have some indication as to how the hem is properly lowered without doing damage to the pants.

First off, make sure all their skin is covered or else your young-lings will get frostbite in those kind of temperatures. With that being said, this is one of the warmest outfits for children available.

cute and sturdy for the little ripper

This is a very well made and warm set, even in adverse conditions my daughter is warm and comfortable. Tons of compliments on this, the green is a nice change from all the pink and purple you see out there. The sizing is fairly true, and the bibs fit really well, no sag but no pulling either. I give this an A+, and I have been a Patagonia faithful but this set has won me over.

Worth the money, even for a toddler

What an adorable set! The ripple color is really nice. If you have a toddler, you know that a reversible coat is more likely to make it through the season, and both sides are cute. We haven't used the snow pants yet, but they look good. My daughter fell in between two sizes (2T and 3T) and I ordered the 3T, which is perfect. The price is good for such a well-fitting, super warm coat and snow pants.
