Columbia Cypress Brook Jacket - Boys'

Before you head out on your family camping trip, give your boy the Columbia Cypress Brook Jacket. Fully sealed seams and Columbia’s nylon Hydroplus shell keep him bone-dry when you’re caught in a sudden downpour, and the storm hood prevents heavy rain or howling wind from making his trip to the outdoors uncomfortable. The interior pocket stashes his essentials out of harm’s way, and the hood-and-loop hand warmer pockets give his digits a place to hide from the weather.

Bottom Line: Don’t let sour weather spoil the trip.

by itself on mid-range days, or layered with good insulation on colder days, it is a great jacket for skiing with its versatility

Good Jacket, Great value

We bought this to work as a shell for cold weather snow conditions, and to double as a stand alone for spring and fall. Was made well, and much cheaper then other options, but we opted for something that had a more durable feel for the winter "rough and tumble". Columbia is a good brand, but you get what you pay for.

The Marmot Precips are pretty good jackets for children and adults alike.

Columbia is not bad. But if you want something higher end then The North Face or Marmot are both very quality.

The hood does not stow on this particular garment.

Pretty sure neither. By the look of the pic, the white mesh resembles the hood so it looks like it just folds down. It may have a velcro strap on the hood for a quick roll up, but most Columbia jackets have that sweet hood stash pocket- not seeing it here.
