When that first snowfall of the year finally arrives, put your sneakers in the closet and bust out the Columbia Men’s Bugaboot Omni-Tech Winter Boot. This fully waterproof boot features 200 grams of Thinsulate insulation to keep your feet toasty down to 25 below, whether you’re shoveling the walk or snowshoeing through the woods. An Omni-Tech waterproof breathable membrane blocks moisture, and the AgIon antimicrobial footbed keeps smelliness at bay. The Techlite midsole and nylon shank provide cushioning and support, and the Omni-Grip rubber outsole sticks to icy sidewalks and snow-choked trails.
Bottom Line: Winterproof your feet with this boot.

Lasted two seasons. First the rubber part vcracked and then the interface between the leather and the rubber came apart. Wish we had bought them here for the guarantee
as with the earlier post, the left boot developed a 2" vertical crack by my pinky toe, where the shoe bends when walking. the stitching where the rubber meets the leather pulled apart on the right boot.
mine were a couple models old. and i bought them several seasons ago, but had only worn them a couple times. i contacted columbia and they authorized an out-of-warranty replacement. it took almost two months from the time i shipped them, but customer service was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.
What is the width like on Columbia boots? I've tried on several North Face boots along with Sorrels. The only thing that had the appropriate width fit was Keen though the styling was not my flavor. Any other brands that fit wider than normal?
I just moved to New Hampshire from sunny South Florida, so snow boots were in order. (I write for boating magazines, so my deck shoes are my primary footwear down south.) I have a very wide foot. Everything I tried locally (all regular width) didn't fit, but I know my size exactly when available in wide. Backcountry was about the only place I found with boots I liked (these Columbias) in wide, and half-sizes to boot, so I ordered them, tried them on, and love them. They fit perfectly in both length and width in exactly the size I wear from Rockport (my boat shoes) and Rocky (my hiking boots.) They're easy to put on, too. The top lace clips grab the laces so they're easy to get just tight enough and then tie. Frankly, I wouldn't change a thing.
