Columbia Bugaboo Parka - Men's

Retro may be in style, but the 3-in-1 Columbia Bugaboo Parka wouldn’t know. That’s because it never left. Columbia’s Interchange System introduced the component system to outdoor enthusiasts and the general public back in the 90’s, and it still maximizes versatility with a zip-in fleece jacket liner that stands alone for casual and cool-weather wear. The outer shell uses Columbia’s Omni-Tech waterproofing between a nylon face and polyester liner, and stands alone as a wind- and weather-resistant jacket with critical-seam taping to keep you dry in a storm.

amazed by quality

This is my first Columbia jacket and I am amazed by the quality, comfort and style when you see it in person. It fits perfects and I can rely on it to keep my warm and dry in cold, rainy weather. The price is awesome too. The tag say $230.

How is the hood supposed to be secured when not in use? There

How is the hood supposed to be secured when not in use? There is a velcro strip that is on the outside of the hood and makes no sense. The jacket is nice but the hood is infuriating.

There are a number of ways to secure it...
- remove it when it is not needed and roll-n-fold it.
- you can also detach the middle roll it, and secure it with that velcro strap to the loop on the liner.

Top Notch Jacket

Great jacket. It's dropped into the teens and still it has kept me warm. Keeps the wind out and keeps me dry even in heavy rain. Definitely would recommend buying. Looks great, all my friends say they love it. I have used it while camping, hiking, and just walking around campus. I'm 5'11", 170lbs and the fit was just right.

they are paired with their liners... You can order an additional piece to wear on its own or layered up... look at the ascender softshell for a nice third jacket

Sizing issues

I ordered this from BC with high hopes however I was let down by Columbia yet again. The problem was the size of the shell. It was enormous compared to that of the zip in fleece. The fleece on the other hand fit better but it ran a little small. When the two were together, I felt like a big puff ball with the amount of room between the fleece and shell. Thanks for the quick return BC! Just fyi, but I am 5' 11", 160 lb and tried the medium.
