Columbia Bear Hug II Bunting - Infant Girls' - 2008

You need a warm fleece suit for winter car and stroller trips, and you’d rather not have to deal with miniature mittens and a winter hat and socks. Go for the Columbia Infant Girls’ Bear Hug II Bunting. Columbia made this fleece suit with fold-over hand and foot flaps to keep extremities warm, and they added a full-front zipper that extends down the lower right leg for easy diaper changing. Two small bear ears top off the hood of this Bear Bunting.

Bottom Line: Warm and not half as suffocating or dangerous as a real bear hug.

I absolutely LOVE this bunting! It's so warm and very cute. I have 10 month old twin girls and get so many comments on how cute the "bears" are. The bunting is so easy to get on and off. In the car I would suggest putting the hood down and unzipping a bit because it's so warm. And it's thin, which is great, that helps with the carseat seatbelt and is just more comfy.

This is by far one of our greatest essentials for our little girl in winter. She is so comfy in it, and she fits easily in her car seat with it on as opposed to a puffy jacket. It covers her ears, hands and feet, so it's so easy!

According to the sizing chart, the 12 month. It's very true to size. The 12 month fit my 10 month olds almost perfectly, but I wanted to be sure it would fit them the entire winter so I sent them back and got 18 month and they're WAY to big. But that's okay because they'll last that way!

I love this bunting for my daughter. The fleece is the softest fleece I have ever felt and keeps her so nice and warm without making her uncomfortable. Compared to others I have tried, this one beats them all out by far. Plus every where we go she gets tons of compliments. I highly recommend to anyone. The best out there.

Could cause traffic accidents by turning heads. I wrap my 5 month old in the 12 month size Ripple, strap her in to the chest carrier, and go trekking over the San Francisco hills as the winter winds whip off the Pacific. Toasty!

Super soft

Was a little worried that this bunting was more for looks (bear ears) and not for insulation. However, I've had my baby on my back for multiple jaunts into the cold wilderness (local trails and park, really) and she still sings to the birds - not a whimper from the cold. Way to go, Columbia.
