Columbia Bear Hug II Bunting - Infant Boys' - 2008

You’ll enjoy the ears on top of the Columbia Infant Boys’ Bear Hug II Bunting, but you’ll appreciate the long zipper and foldover hand and foot flaps. The long zipper makes changing a diaper much easier, and the fleece flaps ensure your wee one’s fingers and toes stay warm without needing to bring easy-to-lose mitts or booties. Should your child be mobile, move the Bear Hug’s foot flaps out of the way, and slide on rubber-soled boots.

Bottom Line: Your little cuddle-bear will be so cozy inside this bunting.

Great Buy

I bought this for my 7mo old son for the winter. It is fabulous. It's easy to take off and on. Also, it is very warm. The hood fits great and does not fall off. Not too bulky, easy to get baby in and out of carseat.

Too cute!

Bought this for my grandson in Jersey just in time for the fall nippy weather. He looked like a cuddly teddy bear. Not bulky but does the job to keep warm & comfy. Great for layering!

the smallest size this goes to is 6mo, so it will probably be a bit big for this winter.

Spoke to the customer service agent

By:

He told me that he uses this for above 32 degrees. Below freezing, he switches over to a down bunting. Whether it will last through winter depends on how cold your winters get. Hope that helps.

Don't think it will be warm enough for winter

By:
October 17, 2008

We live in Chicago--otherwise known as the windy city. The weather here is still pretty warm so I haven't gotten a chance to try our bunting out yet (on the kid, of course). That having been said, as cute as it is, I'm thinking it won't be of much use past November. It would work for springtime though. For winter, I'm going with the Columbia down bunting sold on this site. Good luck!

PS In terms of sizing, my seven-month old is between the 18 and 24 month sizes. He's in the 95th percentiles for weight and height, though (about 22 lbs, 30 inches or so). If you aren't planning to fold the flaps over on the legs to cover the feet, you get more mileage out of the suit since it doesn't restrict their feet. Hope that makes sense.

It is certainly warm, but runs a bit baggy so that you can layer it over other clothes. It's a fleece so it isn't going to be as warm as down, but works well over other clothes.

NOT SO GREAT

By:

We never recieved this item. UPS delivered it to the wrong address. Oue credit card was charged of course. Backcountry was going to take care of everything and we've heard nothing. This was a gift so that really sucked!! Good luck to all that order.

This is very well made and super soft. It is on the longer/tall side. Overall great warm and soft one piece for the winter months. Pretty darn cute too.
