Columbia Ballistic Full-Zip Fleece Jacket - Boys'

The Columbia Kids' Ballistic Sweater stands up to multiple seasons of abuse—whether your child wears it hiking, to school, camping, or just exploring around the park. Columbia beefed up the full-zip Ballistic Sweater with Berguntal Light II reinforcements on the shoulders, where abrasion from a pack and branches is the most common. Made from MTR microfleece, this midweight jacket gives your child that extra bit of warmth for total cold weather comfort. If you want a fleece that won't wear out after a season of hard use, this is the one.

Bottom Line: Get a low-maintenance fleece to keep your extra-active kid warm.

they are a bit generous in size but not enough to adjust by moving to the smaller size, usually

His new favorite Jacket

By:
November 2, 2009

I purchased this for my son and he LOVES this jacket. He had never worn a fleece jacket before and has stopped wearing his soft shell and only wears this jacket now (unless it's pouring rain, in which case his mean mom makes him wear a waterproof jacket over it.) My son say's it cozy like a blanket and I have washed it a couple of time already and not seen any pilling or fading which is nice. Also, it's cut full enough that he can wear a thick sweater or sweatshirt under it comfortably so it's great on the playground at school. All in all, this is a great jacket at a GREAT price. Thanks.

What is better the Columbia Ballistic Full-Zip Jacket - Boys

What is better the Columbia Ballistic Full-Zip Jacket - Boys or the North Face Denali Jacket

My daughter has TNF Denali and my son has the Columbia and they are both holding up equally as well to washing and everyday wear. For the price I would stick with the columbia.

They're both pretty close, but if I had to choose I'd say TNF Denali jacket. They seem to last longer and don't pill as easily.Hope that helps.
