Colnago Extreme Power Road Bike Frameset - 2008

What’s in a name? Pretty much everything, at least if you're referring to the Colnago Extreme Power frameset. Colnago built the all-carbon Extreme Power with a single purpose in mind: to withstand the explosive output of professional sprinters like Alessandro Petacchi, Erik Zabel, and Oscar Freire, and to do it without adding a millisecond to their splits. The result? A blindingly stiff, incredibly strong frame weighing mere grams over one and a half kilos, fork included. If your legs have ever been mistaken for freight cars, or a butcher has ever accused you of shoplifting a pair of his prize briskets, well...it might be time to add some Colnago jerseys to your closet.

Bottom Line: Stiffer than roadkill in January, and far nicer to look at.
