Coleman Exponent 3AA MicroPacker LED Lantern - 2008

Shed some light on your campsite with Coleman's Exponent MicroPacker LED Lantern. This collapsible area lamp runs on 3 AA batteries and puts out an impressive 80 lumens, enough to keep everyone and everything in view. A sliding reflector allows you to direct the MicroPacker Lantern's beam forward to illuminate a path or focus on a difficult task, and a strobe setting comes in handy for emergency dance parties.

Bottom Line: Let there be light, provided by Coleman Exponent.

These are great little lanterns for backpackers, paddlers, and other minimalists. I even use mine for car camping on a larger campsite. I just bought an extra one and put one on each end of camp. When you retire to the tent, turn one off and take the other in with you. Hang it from the dome clip or whatever. They're amazingly small and bright. And I get about a week of use out of 3 AA batteries in harsh weather...more when it's mild.

$23.99 ?????????

I bought one of these at walmart in yellow for $9.99!!! The fact that Coleman now brands it "Exponent",colors it in gray and retails it for twice the price is criminal. When i bought it i setteled for it in exchange for a white fuel exponent model. Good choice!!! Its light weight and packable. It has a direction shield and makes a great tent light as it has a hanger. I replaced the Oem batteries with lithiums and a year later it still lights after two hikes. Its a great hiking lantern, but dont get rooked into paying twice the price for the Exponent name. Go get it at walmart. Just like Flyguy above says "get two" but for the price of one "Exponent clone' Besides, bright yellow is high visibility when your digging for it in your pack at night.

Let there be light

Use it as a dome light mostly to hang from the gear loop in my tent. its super bright and has come in handy during a couple blackouts at home. the slide in the back to use it more as a flashlight helps a little but its still a lantern.

This a must have. Better than flashlights this size. It was hung from a tree and gave all the light our campsite needed.

Great Dome Light

By:

I love this little lantern, it made a perfect dome light in the tent. Small size, great function. Not much utility in the "flashlight" feature, but that's not what I want it for.
