Coleman Cool Zephyr Ceiling Fan w/ Light - 2008

Keep your tent cool during hot desert nights with the Coleman Zephyr Ceiling Fan. The fan attaches to your tent's ceiling with its magnetic plate or carabiner clip, and it operates on four D batteries (not included). On the high setting, the Zephyr runs for 24 hours, and on low, it runs for 48. Turn on the incorporated four white and one amber LED lights for a little night-time reading. Coleman used soft foam blades, so you don't have to worry about being chopped to death in your sleep.

Bottom Line: Enjoy a refreshing breeze during summer campouts with Coleman's Zephyr Ceiling Fan w/ Light.

Only down. Switching the batteries around doesn't reverse the flow (or at least it didn't on my fan).

No pun intended, but this fan is cool. Four D-cell batteries makes it a little heavy (maybe 5 pounds) but the weight is worth it for a nice breeze inside a warm tent. I use this fan primarily inside a Rock 22 tent, though I have placed it on the nightstand and experienced favorable results. It's not a household box fan (obviously), but it gets the job done. Air flow is in one direction (down), the bright LED light is sufficient for reading and the battery life is as advertised. The d-ring is sufficient for suspending this fan from inside any decent tent - the magnet will work if you don't have a ceiling loop. Overall this is a great fan and well worth the $20 (USD).

How strong is the fan? I want to know if it will blow a nice breeze or just blow some hot air around like those useless Auto Cool car fans.
