Coleman 5-Foot Pressure Hose and Adapter - 2006

If you have a refillable 20-pound propane cylinder and a shiny new camping grill, how do you connect one to the other? The Coleman 5-Foot Pressure Hose and Adapter, of course. This hose works with tons of propane-powered appliances, including mini-fridges, heaters, and torches, and it allows you to move the appliance without lugging around a heavy propane tank. The adapter converts the tank's pressure to a manageable low.

Bottom Line: This Coleman Pressure Hose and Adapter lets you use your favorite appliances while you camp.

Use with Coleman Catalytic heaters

By:
February 11, 2009

Do not use this hose, or other brands like it, on Coleman Catalytic heaters. What happens is, where it connects to the heater gets so hot, it actually starts melting the hose and then you got a gas leak. This happened to me twice with two different brands of hose and each time it didn't take long to happen either. But this hose is OK on any device that does not get hot at the connector. For Coleman Catalytic heaters, I would just sue those 1lb green propane tanks, as they tend to absorb the heat from the connector site and I have had no problems with them when used with those small green tanks. You can buy a refill adapter to refill those green tanks from the bigger 20lb tanks. It's the same principle that a refillable butane lighter works on.

A Valuable Option

The little green bottles are great if you need to stay mobile...thus light and/or compact. But when you're setting up a grill, stove, heater, etc. on your patio or on a long-term campsite, it's a lot more eco-friendly and efficient to use a larger propane tank. That's when you need this hose and adapter. And it works great. It's also pretty durable.

it fits, no worries

Looked forever at regular stores to find the attachments needed to use the std 5gal propane bottle with coleman stoves/grills and had no luck.
Bought this from BC and everything is fine and dandy with my coleman stoves/grills and using the propane bottle at home or off the camper.
Cheaper than buying the little bottles all the time when car camping or at home in the yard.
Line comes with regulator and works with my roadtrip grill and pretty sure it will work with my fold-n-go as well.

Replace those little bottles

By:
November 29, 2008

Yup. I looked around everywhere for this hose too. I have a Table Top Patio Heater http://www.patioheatersupply.com/sales-catalog/table-top-patio-heaters/copper-tabletop-heater that I use on my deck and kept having to replace those little propane bottles about once an hour. Now I use my gas grill propane tank and it lasts forever. This hose fits right into my gas grill propane tank and connects to anything that uses those silly little 16.4 oz. bottles of propane. Get it. Worth it. Yup!
