If you are looking for a glove that is great for all your skiing needs this is a great choice. Gloves there days are expensive and you don't want to buy some a pair that will fall apart halfway through the season. I love this simple, straightforward pair of gloves. They are very well made. The S size feels as though it was designed for the length and width of my fingers and hands.

The liner feels great against my skin, and it keeps me warm down to 20F. The glove gets a bit nippy at 15F. These gloves also give me good dexterity, and I can manipulate all but the finest zipper pulls while wearing them.

The gauntlets are long and wide enough to fit over most jacket cuffs yet they are narrow enough to stay fairly secure. Some may long for details such as pullcords, but I admire the lack of things to fuss with or break in this simple glove design.

I recently lost my Spring Trollers (which were superb gloves for around town, spring or temperate skiing, camping / backpacking, holding hot camp cookware, etc.) and decided to get the heftier Trollers this time around. I found the spring troller's insulation lacking for cold-weather biking and so far the Trollers are great. I've put in about 50 miles this week commuting in temps between 40 and 60 and they work great. They are totally windproof and breath pretty well. I'm excited to take these out skiing when the season starts here...

by far the best gloves out there... light and breathable but heavy duty when it's really cold and wet out. had to quit skiing on cold days because my hands were freezing up too much but these have solved that problem. buying another pair in black to go with the tan ones.

OK, I live in Maine and I'm hard on gloves, between the snow shovel, the ski pole, and everything else, I really need a glove that is durable. I bought these in the hope that they would last several seasons and be decently warm. First the positives, they have lasted, I love the work glove look, the fit and dexterity. However, these things pack out with in a couple of months. The insulation on the palm side of the hand which is supposed to be 300 weight fleece was, within a few months, the thickness of a old flannel shirt. Needless to say they became my warm weather gloves only. However, they are really not the best warm weather gloves because without constant attention to the leather, i.e. waterproofing, if you work in the snow at all they will soak up enough water to fill your nalgene. With a really thick coat of water proofing paste (the sprays wont cut it) you can keep these from soaking up the snow but then they take on a stickiness and smell that I would rather avoid. I love cloudveil products usually but this one is not up to par.

I now have a pair of these gloves in medium and large. I'll likely send them both back. The medium is a touch on the small side, the large is far too big. Both the medium and the large are too tight across the knuckles when closing your hand, making holding a ski pole somewhat difficult.

Other than the fit, the construction of these gloves is top notch. The leather is soft and supple, the insulation is snug and warm, and the quality seems excellent.

I bought these gloves for a reason that I am sure they are not intended for, that is riding a motorcycle. I ride in FL , North FL, so it can range from 100 to 10, that is why I bought these gloves, to ride with in the winter.
I rode with them in 60 deg weather, and they did fine, rode with them in 50 again fine, 40 deg I started to feel the cold, but not to bad, then I got to the 30 degree weather and well, they were cold, my finger tips froze after a 45 min ride into work, at 60 miles an hour. So am I happy? not really, I asked the backcountry service person to help me pick out a good glove for what I wanted and he said this was the best he had for what I needed them to do, well I guess I should have been more specific. I will just have to find a pair that can hold up under 60 mile winds at 30 deg, I most likely will shelf these...(returns are such a pain)
