Clif Bar's flagship product, the Clif Bar, isn't dry and doesn't taste like sawdust, like so many energy bars. This flavorful, moist bar features 70% organic ingredients, protein, vitamins, and minerals to get you through your bike ride, daylong hike, or workday. Get a 12-pack of your favorite fruity, chocolaty, or nutty concoction.
70% organic ingredients and the best tasting bar on the market today. you can't beat a clif bar. easy to pack and a good solid hours worth of calories when you are training or racing hard. what i love is the ingredients. but they also taste sooo good i often eat them as a treat. the banana nut bread is AMAZING!
try this - put a clif bar in the microwave and heat it up for 20-30 seconds - they are ooooh so good warm. just make sure you take them out of the wrapper first, it's got some metal in it that will fry the microwave - i learned this the hard way!
No, it is not. However, I've been trying out this new bar, Larabar, which is completely gluten-free and 100% organic. Nothing but fruit, nuts, and trail running for me!
While CLIF Nectar, Twisted Fruit, Luna Sports Products, CLIF SHOT gels, CLIF SHOT BLOKS, and CLIF SHOT Energy Drinks do not contain any gluten ingredients, they are not produced in a gluten-free zone. All other CLIF Bar products contain gluten as an active ingredient.
The ingredient list on the upper right appears wheat-gluten free. However; it does contain malt extract (barley?), rolled oats and oat fiber. Possible offenders if Celiac's is your issue! Try Hammmer Nutrition bars for a gluten free treat. They are organic and mostly raw. Supah Tasty!
I live off these! No other energy bar will keep me going like the cliff bar. You don't have to force them down...they actually taste good. They are a great healthy pick me ups when in the outdoors.
These bars provide all three macro nutrients; fats, proteins & carbs. It is all in balance & always moist, never crumbly like many other bars. You'll never bonk when you have these to replenish yourself.
Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Crisp are two my favorite flavors. These bars are great. First off they never freeze. Which is always a plus when skiing in cold weather. They are super nutritious, taste great, and give you a great boost of energy. I don't eat lunch when I go skiing. I just eat two of these throughout the day and they do the trick. High in calories and carbs keep you filled and give you a great boost in energy. Great for as an energy bar for all sports.
Great bar for on the trail, on the bike, in the class, where ever you are. I like the flavours all of which are great, although I can't actually eat the nut ones. The Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter is an awesome flavour, but unfortunately gets old after a time. If you switch out different bars for every day, then you will never find that the taste is overly repetitive. It isn't a dry bar, so it is perfect for eating on the go, making sure nothing accidentally goes down the wrong way. Tons of nutrients to keep you moving, and a compact square-ish size to fit almost anywhere.
Like many outdoor athletes I have used a variety of energy bars. But the clif bars are still my favourite, they seem to give you the most sustained energy with good healthy ingredients!
What else can be said after reading these other reviews? Clifbar's story lives up to its name. These are good. They are filling, and they are full of energy and nutrition. You can't go wrong during or following any activity with a Clifbar.
Lots of bar options, but I keep coming back to the old faithful Clif Bar. I really like the choc chip or choc chip peanut crunch - kind of like cocolate bars, but good for you. The nice thing is that they stay fairly pliable when you are exercising outdoors in the winter, but they do not goo up in the summer. Great choice for working out or a quick snack.
Clif bars are the best on the market, but sometimes the full sized bar is too much, so I pack some of the MINIs (100 calories) with me for when I'm on the go. I keep the full sized bars for breaks and rest stops.
Truly amazing energy/snack bar. I buy these in bulk at a local store when they are on sale. They literally work for every meal. So for breakfast try one dipped in coffee, delicous. Then for lunch or a snack anytime they are filling and taste amazing. They also taste delicious dipped in milk, a much healthier alternative to the Oreo! Instead of reaching for the candy bar these provide the satiety of a candy bar in those impulsive sweet cravings. After or before a workout they are fantastic. If you are on the trail and eating sparingly, Cliff bars are like an oasis in the desert. If you work or have to miss a meal these are perfect for that too, about 240-280 calories, perfect pick me up and tide over snack. I cannot say enough good things. Oh and I should mention these taste nothing like other designated energy bars, straight delicious. Go ahead buy some and you may start carrying one with you on work days for a snack. I usually have one spare in my backpack for school and keep one in my car etc.. 10 star product.
This is the best energy bar you can buy. it provides the calories you need without all the fat, and it is mostly organic, so for the tree lovers out there, don't worry, it is very easy to pack, and really light. it also makes a good cereal when you heat it up.
I eat these on long bike ride while on the go, and the Clif Bars are always moist. With dry crumbly bars sometimes a piece goes down the wrong pipe defeating the whole idea of eating while moving, that just doesn't happen with Clif Bars.
I am a big fan of figs so the fact they use organic fig paste for sweetning and binding - is just the icing on the cake.
Carrot cake is my favorite, never messy, and super easy to break off a piece while riding.
Don't mind how they look (kinda like "cow chips"), cliffies are the best energy bars on the market. Taste good, even after having them for years, plenty of variety in the different lines, long-release energy, and durable for long hikes, treks and rides. Go for seasonal flavors.
Powerbar may have made the industry, but they sure do taste terrible (texture even worse)- like the unfortunate result of a night of Ms Syrup + Mr hotdog.
Not the case with Clif Bars, responsibily packed with tons of nutrients, vitamins, protein, etc from real food sources. This bar not only delievers you from hunger, but does so deliciously.
These are not to be mistaken for supermarket variety granola bars. Clif packs much more of a punch + therefore can sustain you on long hikes, rides, or workouts as either a pickup or in a pinch a meal replacements. I take them everywhere.
I have an active family of five...lacrosse, soccer, skiing...winter, spring, summer, fall. We keep these bars everywhere. In our ski coats, sports bags, vehicles, etc...The kids love them and they are super good for you. I coach and I see the garbage other kids eat in between our lacrosse games...chips, Ho Ho's, soda, cookies. A cliff bar and some water and my kids are good to go. It's nice to have a healthy food product that you don't have to push on your kids because they taste bad...they taste great.
If you're reading this, you obviously haven't ever had a Cliff Bar. They're the best. Energy, taste, and easy to eat/digest. Plus they have chocoalte chips!!!! What more could you ask for!
I use these bars during hikes and even back at the office for snacks. Great testing and provide the nutrients to keep you going on the trail. My 4 year old loves the peanutbutter chocolate chip!
Great as a trail snack. I keep them handy so that I don't have to unload my pack when I need a snack on the trail. I even keep a few at my office desk as a snack rather than feeding the vending machine when I need fed.
I've tried every bar out there and these are about the only ones that don't taste like engineered food. I eat them all the time, during exercise and just to munch.
I tried these the first time about 5 years ago and have never switched to anything else. It tastes good, packs alot of energy into a small package, and is easy to eat on the fly. I used to ride my bike to work every day while living in Italy and recall eating one every morning...one hand on the handlebar, and the other stuffing a CLIF bar in my mouth whil crazy Italian drivers whizzed by.
I mean, come on. Clif Bars are awesome. Definitely the best energy bar on the market today. And when I say energy, I mean it gives you energy to keep moving, but it isn't your typical "taste like crap made in a bio-lab" energy bar that you may know.
The ingredients are solid, they taste great, and their wide selection of flavors makes it certain that you'll fall in love with at least one type of Clif Bar.
I'm a vegetarian and I tend to get hungry pretty fast especially out on the trail. Clif bars offer a more full feeling and the energy to go with that feeling. With other products I get an over sugared, sick to my stomach feeling. Not with Clif Bars.
The Apricot flavored Clif Bars are the bomb. They taste really good and they perform just like any other clif bar. I get hungry pretty often on bike rides and just throw a couple of these in my pack and I can go all day.
How can you go wrong with Clif Bars? We've been munching on these for years, depending on them to get us through hikes, paddling, disc golfing, and even long days at work. The flavors are spot on -- love the Blueberry Crisp, Pumpkin Spice, and Chocolate Brownie, and they really are filling.
Got this to supplement Mountain House meals on a 10 days camp trip. They taste great, and filled me when I needed it. Just wish there are a variety pack. After a few days, the same old flavor started to get old.
