Castelli 170 Wind Full Zip Cycling Jersey - Men's - 2008

The Castelli Men’s 170 Wind Full-Zip Jersey puts windproof performance in a contoured, race-worthy silhouette for serious alpine cyclists. When carrying or wearing a jacket is too slow, pull on the second skin of the 170 Wind Jersey and give yourself a bionic boost of warmth. Slick, windproof panels on the chest, shoulders, arms, and collar cut through cold gusts without adding drag or extra weight, and breathable side panels vent body heat so you don’t roast. Castelli added a full zipper to this top, because without one, you’d never get it on.

Bottom Line: Like a hot knife through frozen butter.

Great jersey

By:

Love the jersey, well made, MUCH warmer than you would think for as lightweight as it is. The fit isn't as tight as I was expecting after reading others reviews. I'm 5'10, 155 and I ordered a large, and a medium would have been fine. With the large I can easily wear a baselayer under it, but it's not baggy by any means. The ONLY problem I have with it is that the bottom of the zipper has pretty sharp edges and has began to wear holes in my bibs.

Versatile jersesy/jacket

By:
April 6, 2009

I wore this jersey on a cold morning with nothing underneath. On a steep uphill I was able to use the full zip to air out, while on the downhill the zip and windstopper fabric completely protected me. It breathes under the arms and on the back. I can't wait to try it as the temperatures warm up.

Functional Jersey

By:
March 30, 2009

Very well deisgned and functional Jersey. Windproofing on front panels provides extra versatility. Comfortable down to 40 to 45 degrees with a base layer and up to about 60 to 65 degrees all by itself. No longer require a wind vest on those windy, chilly days when the wind and cold would otherwise make its way through a normal long sleved jersey. I'm 5'9'' and 150lb and normally wear a medium, but found a large fit well through the torso (with just enough room for a thin base layer), but just a little long in the sleve which isn't really a problem. Overall very well deisgned piece of kit, that is functional and feels great riding. Enjoy.

excellent quality

Great quality jersey, excellent wind block and high neck fit. This is one of the best quality Castelli's I presently own. Jersey's run a little on the small size so size up one size. Dealing with Backcountry was a pleasure... very happy

Awesome Jersey

By:
January 27, 2009

This is the perfect jersey for those chilly, but not cold days. It's allowed me to leave the jacket at home a few times, and that's nice, especially on those early mornings where you know it's going to warm up later in the day. Fit is nice. I bought a white/red and black/red. Love em!
