Carhartt Washed-Duck Dungaree Work Dungaree Pant - Men's
Wear the Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Work Dungaree with a full seat and thigh to give you plenty of mobility for extra tough jobs. When your work gets down and dirty you have a high-rise fit that prevents too much sagging. Roof re-shingling feels like child's play when done in these heavy-duty cotton work pants that are also long lasting fighting possible abrasion. Convenient tool and utility pockets make tricky jobs a little easier, and a 19-inch, work-boot-friendly leg opening gives the Work Dungarees a hint of style.
Bottom Line: Save your knee skin with the Carhartt Washed Duck Work Dungarees.
For the longest time I thought guys who wore Carhartts were just good 'ol boys or construction workers. But after getting into welding and various work I decided to try out Carhartts and ever since I've been addicted! The best thing about Carhartts is that you can wear them for building a deck and the next day wear them to the bar and they will work great for both! The patina that develops over time is wonderful and they become a part of you, each little nick and paint drop because a story and they remind of times gone by. Sure they are a bit tougher than your Banana Republic slacks, but that's the point! These are Carhartt WORK pants, these suckers are the Jeep of Jeans, no pansies allowed!! It's been probably ten years since I've been buying Carhartts and I'll continue to be a loyal buyer for as long as I can!
Seen here in Carhartt brown which we re-christianed "Buddha-rock Red." These pants are indestructable, even when riding the souped up dobermans they call horses.
If you've got some hard work or just want a rugged pair of pants these are it. They're real comfortable, but if it's even remotely warm out probably not the right pair for the job. Fit is what you'd expect although they do run a bit baggy.
I have many other thicker, burlier Carhart pants for work but these are what I wear for comfort. Soft and a great fit. Takes a lot to wear them out too!
These pants are hard to beat. I bought 2 pair to deploy to Afghanistan with in 2002. After months of hand scrubbed washes and subsequent redeployment to the world of running water they are still kickin almost 7yrs after purchase. I have subsequently bought others and generally use them as casual pant or if I am doing any home improvements. The material is heavy duty and will put up with alot. Pockets are usefull (the rightside tool pocket even holds a M16 magazine). If you are looking for tough, comfortable, and good looking pants... look no further these are it.
I've abused these doing pretty much everything from working to camping and they keep on going. Really comfortable and lightweight but can still take a beating.
Picked up a pair of these for climbing and all around wear. Really heavy canvas, but they hold up to some serious abuse! Fit on me was pretty baggy, which could be annoying at times. Next pair is going to be the lighter canvas version with double knees. The dark khaki color looks clean even after long periods of use without washing. Beater khakis that are made to withstand some pretty tough situations! Highly recommended, but baggy fitting.
Like most Carhartt products, these are not really casual-wear pants - at least not when you first get them. As other reviewers have noted, these pants are bomb-proof but as a result they can be a little stiff and difficult to get used to for those of us accustomed to buying our jeans pre-worn-in. But on the other hand, they're also about as tough and durable a pant as you can find, except for the Carhartts with double knees.
I found that the color was slightly different than as described, but no big deal.
I probably have gone through 10 pairs of these pants over the years, and I'm amazed at how inconsistent they are... this pair feels like a cheap knock-off... the fabric feels thinner and the cut just isn't the same as the other pairs in my drawer.
They do make different weight styles with similar pockets. STP sells "seconds" often with easily spotted defects. Don't matter if you are getting them for hard use.
I love these pants, I have almost completely replaced all the denim in my work pants, I have yet to have to get rid of a pair because they've worn out. I've worked in all sorts of conditions with these on and I would recommend them to anybody doing any work. I even wear these for casual wear.
These Carhartt pants are the softest hard working pants I've slipped on in a while. While not windproof, they block the breeze well. I like them so much I bought another pair in a different color. If you want your clothes to work as hard as you do and be comfy enough to chill in, here you go.
These pants cannot be beat. I've tried Levis, dickies, and other so called "work" pants, and nothing beats these for fit, comfort, and durability. I work in a warehouse, and will honestly wear these for a month at a time, they stand up to just about anything you can throw at them. I get about 2 years out of a pair of these, and about half that out of the last pair of jeans I bought. These are also well cut for people with active size quads and calf muscles. One of my ongoing complaints about a lot of pants is that they won't fit well over my thighs and calves, and these definitely do the job well.
I bought these as a gift for my dad. We just looked at his pant size and bought that size. It fits him very true to his normal size. He is remodeling his house and has destroyed many jeans already and has yet to destroy these! he is happy and I am happy!
These are probably my favorite pair of pants. I wear them almost everyday and they can stand up to just about anything. They are super comfy and have a nice style to them as well.
