Carhartt Sandstone Active Jacket - Men's

Lose the grandpa coat and get down to business in the thermal-lined Carhartt Men's Sandstone Active Jac. This hooded jacket is every bit as rough and tough as your old work coat but has an up-to-date look that won't inspire honks from Lincoln Town Cars. Made from cotton sandstone duck fabric, the Sandstone Active jacket won't wear and tear for years to come. A relaxed fit provides a range of motion you couldn't get from your old denim straitjacket.

Bottom Line: Go from geezer to stud-muffin in the Carhartt Sandstone Active Jac.

Pure Brilliance

By:

I have had one of these jackets for 8 years running. One jacket for 8 years. I have known other jackets that have lasted as long as this one, but they were fancy $300+ jackets only worn while coaching the new racers out on the mountain. Meanwhile, this one is a pure workhorse.

Four of most of those years, I wore it everyday at the local ski hill training from first chair to last run and on my evening work shift lugging gates, fencing, dead trees, timing wire, running sleds and and moving snowguns. Sure, the color has faded, it has some wear in the shoulders and a few grease stains, but no tears, stitching is still rock solid and just as warm as the day I bought it.

Not waterproof by any means. I have worn this jacket in the rain many times, and I have to say, it is a sponge. But it usually provides enough of a barrier to keep you dry long enough to get stuff done.

Long story short, its your all-purpose tool in your jacket toolbox. You can't go wrong owning one of these.

Carhartt: Heart and Soul

By:

Whether racing by the barbed-wire fence on the four-wheeler or reaching through the fence to feed, the Carhartt performs like a champ, resisting and keeping you warm, too. It's the workhorse of the jacket world!

Different codes are for different jackets - J104 is for a Carhartt Workshield Vented Jacket and the J131 is for the Carhartt Duck Active Jacket.

Can't Go Wrong

I've had one of these for a long time and it is still probably one of my warmest jackets. It may not be waterproof but it can do everything else.

comfort and protection

I am so impressed by this Carhartt jacket. With winter taking hold I have just a little yard work left to take care of and I wouldnt want to work in my ski jacket. The active jacket is a great piece for getting dirty and gettin er done. My garage is cold but houses all my tools, and without my carhartts I would be stuck inside with my wife like a scared turtle.

great Jacket!

I bought three of these Jackets for my brothers and they love them, and the best part is that they're not overly expensive! and they keep you warm no matter what you're doing... the only downside is that they're not waterproof. but they still get the job done on a cold winer's day.

Sandstone Jacket... Okay

By:
March 12, 2007

I wanted a nice jacket that would stand the cold and rain. That it did well. The size Large, has the body a little too large. Also I like pockets to put all my gear, but it only has 4, 2 outside and 2 inside chest. The finish is good for casual but not nice to go out.
Overall rating is just okay. My wife is not crazy about it.
