What can I say, these pants kick so much a$$ you're never going to want to change out of them and as far as I can tell, you'll never need to. Over the years I've beat the crap out of them and my carhartts keep coming back for more. Whether it's at work, in the field, in class or at the bars, I never take them off. I buy two pairs of these babies a year and I have no need for anything else. The double front adds a little weight but another year or so of durability. The pockets are big enough for keys, phone, knife, wallet, or whatever else you may need to get the job done. I'm sold.
I have put these pants through the gauntlet a time or two over the years. The classic pant from Carhartt. Their color fades over the years. Mine used to be a darker clay brown now they look nearly white and have a few holes. But they can be worn for years, I have been using mine for 6 years straight now.
I have been helping my father remodel some old Victorian houses lately and got these cause i needed a new pair. Hands down best work pants that is out there and they fit knee pads. REally strong without being tight fitting either.
I'm looking at the carhartt double front dungarees, and wondering if the washed dungarees have the same sizing as the unwashed ones? i have found that sometimes washed pants are bigger because they don't shrink.
i feel that there about the same -the fit is similar...i find that the waist size changes more depending on the frequency of washing than anything else..ie: my pants go from a bit tight to comfortably loose depending on how long ago i've washed them.
What can I say I'm from Maine and I love my carhartts! I wear them all the time. Even if I'm not painting a barn or helping watch 63 sled dogs. They hold up great and fit great too!
Greatest pants I have ever owned. Bomb-proof. Super comfy. I've lived in them for the last 4 years, and they're not showing any signs of quitting. I use em for everything, including 3 seasons of landscaping. Fit's nice and loose, yet not too baggy. The double front is awesome. I had ACL reconstruction a few years back and the two layers is just enough padding for kneeling on hard surfaces. Material is so strong, a knife doesn't even cut them. Buy them. Love them.
These pants were recommended to me by a fellow welding student and one of my coworkers. I've only worn then for a few days but so far they fit great and really comfortable.
I've been working concrete for 4 years now and have only gone through 2 pairs. Takes a week or so for it to break in comfortably but after that they feel great....plus carharts are chick magnets:)
These are the only pants that i wear for construction work.. i've used them in freezing cold utah weather and hot catalina island summers.. they hold up great. and are comfortable.. and i like wearing them just around town.
Probably the most durable, best fitting pant on the market. I have a closet full of technical clothes and lighter pants than these tanks, but I still wear these nearly every day in the cooler months. Double front is super tough, and will almost never die on you. The pockets start to fray where you wallet sits after a few years, but that's no big deal.
