I just bought this expedition parka in red, it's wonderful,

I just bought this expedition parka in red, it's wonderful, but i have to get the hood stiched as it's way too big (nothing unusual for me). Anyway my question is about the zipper, there are 2 zip closures. Can someone explain this please?

I have the men's Expedition jacket and this is truly the best jacket I have owned for cold climate. (-38 the other day and I was toasty)
Lots of pockets, fleece lined pockets, fur trimmed for those blowing snow days. If you want an every day jacket or a little more fashionable the Chilliwack is waist cut and not so bulky.

A word of caution. If you see a jacket on ebay or an unauthorized site it is probably fake! Backcountry.com is an authorized dealer. I see people selling fakes all the time. Even if the picture looks legit doesn't mean you will receive a real jacket.

This jacket is 800 fill duck down. It doesn't come in black. This jacket goes down to the bottom or your rear....no pun intended:) The fur trip is made from real coyote fur. It does have cuffs and a drawstring at the waist. Absolutely a work of art!

We live in northern Norway. The parka is ideal in the conditions we have here with the Polar Bears roaming the strets.

My girlfriend especially likes the big pockets in the jacket. No need for a purse.

And for the first time, no need for a scarf :-)

Hi,the fur on the Expedition is not removable. If you are in a really cold climate try the Canada Goose Resolute parka with a removable fur ruff. If you are in a more temperate climate, the Trillium is really nice. Both are styled similarly to the Expedition.Good Luck!
