CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack - Women's - 2007

The CamelBak Women's Sugar Hydration Pack carries water, a few snacks, and an extra layer for a day on the slopes. Thanks to a curved harness and high sternum strap, this backpack won't feel like an extra-tight sports bra. A back zippered panel gives you easy access to the two-liter water reservoir, so you don't have to pull everything out of your pack just to re-fill during the day. An outer pocket keeps your keys and wallet organized, and the insulated sleeve and tube help keep your water flowing on cold winter slopes.

Bottom Line: The CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack helps the water go down.

My Better Half Loves It!

By:
May 29, 2009

I bought this for my wife for a trip out west last season and she loves it. Sized for a woman, the pack fit her perfectly. It's not a large pack, so there's really only room for a cell phone, sunglasses, a snack and an extra layer. One feature I liked and that I wish was on my pack is the reservoir access from the back of the pack. That way you don't have to pull everything out or risk getting things wet when you re-fill. Well thought out. Cheers.

Am 57 Alpine skier - always looking for gear that fits well - light - and provides some extra room for those small things you want to have with you. This pack was the perfect answer! Love it!

Too Big

By:

This bag is much bigger than I expected. I have the SnowAngel hydration pack and wanted a pack with a similar low profile with an extra pocket or something to hold keys and miscellaneous items. Sugar pack is more like a regular backpack.

Great all the time

By:

I use this pack not only snowboarding, but in the summer too. I found that it keeps ice water cold forever, which is awesome, and when I have stuff to put in there, the pack just takes it all. It holds a lot more stuff than you would think by just looking at it. I love it! Great for day hikes or just being outside all day working.

CamelBak Sugar Hydration Pack

I'm not going to lie, this is bigger than I expected/originally wanted. I also don't read product descriptions very thoroughly because I didn't notice that this pack has an INSULATED SLEEVE AND TUBE. It turns out neither the size nor the extra insulation are bad things. In fact, I have been very happy to have my beverage of choice remain refreshingly cold on 2 hour+ bike rides. The extra pockets are tremendously useful for snacks and an extra layer. The main drawbacks in my opinion are all the straps and the length of the straps. They do come with little velcro ties to keep the excess in check, but it's still kind of weird. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.

simple and sweet

I've used this both for resort skiing and hiking in the summer, and it's great. When I'm hiking, I can fit my Cannon Rebel XT SLR camera and a lightweight rain jacket inside the main compartment, which really surprised me because it seems pretty small. For skiing, this pack is super compact and light. The best thing, though, is that you don't get the feeling that the shoulder straps are set too far apart (like in unisex/men's packs). The pack feels great on, and the shoulder straps are curved so they're not smooshing into the sides of your chest. Water has frozen in this pack in the winter, but you sort of have to expect that when the weather is super cold.
