CamelBak Mini Mule Hydration Pack - Kids'

The last thing your kid needs on a mountain bike ride is a big, floppy backpack with a water bottle sloshing around inside. Hydration is key, though, which is where the CamelBak Kids’ Mini Mule Hydration Pack comes in. This pack’s compact size, kid-size length, shoulder straps, sternum strap, and removable waist-belt work all work to secure the Mini Mule while your rider bumps along. Elastic in the front pocket allows a bit of over-stuffing for extra snacks and the insulated reservoir helps keep water cool.

Bottom Line: Ride on.

I want to buy a CamelBak Mini Mule for my son. I was wondering if I also need to buy a special cleaning kit for it... And if I don't need a kit what it the best way to clean it? Thanks.

No you dont really need one. I had one two years ago and never used a special cleaning kit. if you only use water it is ok.

You don't need a special kit, though Camelbak do make a little brush for scrubbing the tube that I'd recommend getting. As far as cleaning, keep it clean by taking the mouthpiece off, opening the lid, and letting it dry after every use. If it does get moldy, use a 1:1 vinegar solution or a bleach solution (not 1:1, whatever the bottle says) to kill the mold, then scrub it out, rinse it a lot, and let it dry. It's easy to get into the main compartment with a brush, but I'd definitely suggest the brush for the tube (item CAM0003).

Our kids love them

Fitted our 7 year old and 4 year old just fine, with plenty of room for growth. They loved having their own water to drink while riding. They had no problems drinking from the camelbaks. Plenty of storage space for bits & pieces (they carried their teddy bears in the back). Recommended.
