CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 967cu in

When you’re headed out for an all-day ride or doing some trail work on a crappy day, the Camelbak H.A.W.G NV Hydration Pack hoofs your gear and quenches your thirst. The included three-liter reservoir hides away in an insulated sleeve to keep your liquid cold, and the ventilated back panel breathes moisture on sweaty rides over heady terrain. Dual side compression straps store your trail tools or a jacket, and an included rain cover lets you ride out the storm.

Bottom Line: The H.A.W.G loves to play in the dirt.

Awesome DSLR Camera Pack

By:
April 1, 2009

I wanted a pack that I could use while hiking and mountain biking that would hold my DSLR camera. This pack had all the room that I needed and more. The side pockets hold my flash and camera lenses perfectly. The main compartment holds the camera body and plenty of other things. The smaller front pockets has enough room for filters and lens cleaners. The compression straps keep everything nice and tight so nothing will rattle around. Really a perfect hydration bag!

Nick, your review caught my eye b/c I am looking for a combo hydra/dslr pack. Is there ample separation between the water sleeve and the main compartment? I'm always worried about drips and condensation getting too close to my camera.

I have the Camelback Trailblazer the I really like but all the weight is on the shoulders and starts giving me a back ache. Does this pack put the weight on the hips?

With the waist belt, you should be able to distribute the weight to your hips. So I thought that the trailblazer had a hip strap also? Maybe try moving your shoulder straps up, and tighten up the belt strap to sit above your hips a little, not so much dead center.
