CamelBak HAWG Hydration Pack - 3L - 2008

If you cram an outrageous amount of hiking and biking into your day, grab the CamelBak HAWG Hydration Pack and stay properly watered-down. CamelBak built the HAWG for a serious scramble up a scree field or haulin' ass down a trail on your bike. This super-stable system holds a whopping 100 ounces of water and enough gear, clothing, and food for extended day trips. The HAWG features a full-zip Air Director back-panel that allows easy access to your reservoir and keeps the cool air flowing. This pack also has a Dynamic Suspension Harness to assure that your day on the trail is extremely comfortable.

Bottom Line: Hydrate like a hawg with this sweet hydration pack from CamelBak.

Very Impressive.

I never saw the HAWG in person so when it arrived I cant begin to describe my elation. This is truly a quality constructed product. Who knew? I use this bag for all outdoor activities that will last less than a full day. Even if all you keep in it is the bladder it is unobtrusive enough to justify wearing. I also use the pack for grabbing groceries around town on my bike. It certainly holds enough for a days worth of grub. The pack sheds water in a downpour for about 15 minutes, but is by no means waterproof. All around I would call this the perfect daypack.

You People are Nuts

I think this pack sucks.

Dislikes: It is too small for truly huge mountain bike rides, and it is poorly designed. The mesh compression pocket on the outside doesn't fit anything besides a rain shell, and isn't very functional. The top (vertical) strap does nothing. Perhaps my biggest gripe is the lack of a good way to strap your helmet to this thing. Also, the straps on the sides of the pack restrict access to the two small pockets. One of those straps ripped off of my pack. My sternum strap broke, too, that plastic slider thing broke and I had to rig it up. The small pouch, which I use for bike tools, doesn't open nearly far enough, it's a huge pain in the ass to access CO2/tubes, etc. at the bottom. That pocket should open fully like a clamshell.

Likes: Great camelbak quality bladder, the industry standard. Like the small side pockets for my camera.
