CamelBak Cloud Walker Hydration Pack - 1346cu in - 2005

The Cloud Walker is CamelBak's best selling hydration day pack because it's reasonably priced and offers a perfect amount of water capacity and cargo space for recreational day hikes. A full access zip to the reservoir makes loading a cinch. Independent suspension keeps gear stable as you move, while a waist belt and sternum strap secures the pack to your back. The Airmesh back panel keeps you cool while you're on the move. There's plenty of room for essentials, like a wind shirt, fleece vest, and food, without going overboard on space.

Bottom Line: A great choice for those who prefer a little more carrying space than other minimalist hydration packs.

Good but could be better

I used this pack for the first time this weekend. My shoulders and back never got tired the entire time I was out. CamelBak does have a quality pack here, but I'll be a bit critical in hoping it will help you make an informed decision. First, with the bladder full (70oz), the cargo room is diminished in the main pocket. Second, strap managers would be nice on the waist belt and sternum clasp, too. Finally, I think side mesh pockets would be a great addition so snacks or extra refreshments can be readily accessible. This a good pack, but it can be better.

This pack is a great pack for the common day hiker. It has a great bladder to store all the water you will need for the day. The only guff I have on it is that if you are a bigger person in the upper body, then look around at the other daypacks Camelbak has to offer. The straps don’t seem long enough for bigger people and if you have some layers of clothing on. But overall this pack is solid and, if this doesn’t worry you, then I highly recommend this pack.
