CW-X Stabilyx 3/4 Length Tight - Men's

When the worst of winter is over and spring has sprung, pull on the CW-X Men’s Stabilyx ¾ Length Tights and take your training back outside. CW-X’s Conditioning Web stabilizes the knee joint to help prevent injuries as you work toward your next marathon. These CW-X tights also lend support via compression to your hips, lower core, and lower back so you can power through those last six miles with gusto.

Bottom Line: Useful tights whether you’re a pro or just train like one.

The extra support is seems largley psylogical to me and the crotch is a bit baggy compaired to the rest of the garment. I have the Large and I am 6'1" 210lbs, they fit fine but leave somthing to be desired in the staying in palce department.

Almost forgot they are not warm in any way.

From anyone's experience do you find that it offers any sort of aid to supporting calves at all? I know it just touches upon them, but I was wondering if it still did anything from there...

Hi There. The 3/4 Stabilyx tight does not offer any calves support. You will have to go to the Full length version for that. The patented CW-X support web is based on Kinesio Taping techniques that trainers use to support specific muscles, create better circulation, muscle efficiency, etc. The calves support in the full length CW-X tights is very good and creates all the benefits of Kineseo taping but it's built into the garment. As Greg mentioned above, the other option is to wear the CW-X Compression support sock with a 3/4 Stabilyx Tight. I usually pull my socks just over the botom of the 3/4 tights to keep both the sock and the tight in place and aligned properly. Backcountry does not have the socks in stock yet, but you can find them online or go though the CW-X website. Good luck.

I have a full length version of the CW-X pants and I don't really see that much support in the calves. I doubt there will be that much support on your calves with these pants, especially at the 3/4 length.

Have you tried the compression socks? I find that those help a good amount.

I use these tights more than any other running tight/pant that I own...they're perfect for a majority of my fall running...I think CW-X makes a great product...I'm 5'9" and around 150lbs...the size SMALL is perfect...plus, they work well in the gym for my treadmill work...

Do they make these in big-boy sizes? 2-3X?

I am 5'10" 180 and went with a medium, fit is good an snug but not too tight. I use these in place of long underwear when I ski and would highly recommend them, the breathe fabulously and have incredible support. The only down side is under my Westcomb Vapor pants they can get a little cold especially when pressed against the shell..

So close to perfect...

Great base layer for skiing. 3/4 keeps everything tidy above the boot. If they offered a 3/4 bib they'd be perfect, as they are now they just don't stay put very well.

A bit skeptical at first but after a couple of outings with this tight i fell in love with them. Great support around the knee area. Plus the compression is perfect throughout the leg. Excellent gear for jogging/running.
