CW-X Insulator Stabilyx 3/4-Tight - Women's

Your knees take a beating when you clip into alpine or telemark skis, or when you’re out for a winter run. The CW-X Women’s Insulator Stabilyx ¾-Tight stabilizes your knees and reduces vibration.

  • Support Web uses panels to mimic kineseo taping techniques, so muscles and ligaments band together to support your knee joint, lower abdominals, hip, and back
  • Compression fit minimizes lactic acid build-up for long workouts and quick recovery
  • Flat drawcord at waist won’t interfere with your snow or rain-shell pants

Bottom Line: Knee, hip, and back support.

I heart these tights!

By:
January 21, 2010

I purchased these tights to run a marathon in the winter. Wore them for several runs in mid 20s and they were perfect! I started the marathon with some insulated track pants on over these since I was scared by a wind chill of 11 and got too hot after mile 1. After shedding the track pants these tights kept me happy to the end worn solo. The pink stitching also went wonderfully with my tutu- I swore I would wear a tutu for my first marathon. Great times!

I like these things

By:

After reading the other reviews, I went by the size chart and while they are hard to put on, I can see why they need to be (so they give the support). They seem to fit fine.

I am a 46 year old female beer league racer (12 handicap) and I have to say that these longies were sweet. I felt very strong and stable while skiing/racing in them -- not entirely due to the product probably but certainly they offered something -- and this is what I was hoping for. I want to be able to ski with my ski pants (powder pant style) w/o wearing a GS suit yet still having that tight feeling around my lower body -- and it worked!

Perfect in every way

By:
December 1, 2009

I purchased the CWX insulator stabilyx tights for a ski trip to Summit County, Colorado. These tights were perfect in every way! Warm enough for the brisk 16 degree mornings. Moisture-wicking and not too warm for the afternoons. Very supportive- my legs did not get tired, even though this was my first ski trip of the year, and I skied at least 4 hours a day for 5 days straight.
I like the capri length as I don't like my base layers tucked into my ski boots. These capris are thin enough to wear under jeans as well, without a lot of bulk. The waist sits a couple of inches below the belly button.
Slightly pricey- but quality is not cheap, and in this case, you get what you pay for.
