Your kids won't have to fight for the window seat in the Chariot Carrier CX2. This two-child carrier chassis is the base unit for all sorts of adventures, with an ergonomic design for parents of all sizes. Add on the appropriate Chariot Carrier adapter kit (required, not included) to transform the CX2 unit into a regular stroller, a jogging stroller, or a tow-behind hiking, Nordic skiing, or cycling child carrier. The padded fleece-lined interior keeps youngsters warm all year round, and 3M Scotchlite reflective material provides high visibility in the evening. Full mesh sides, a weather shield, and zip-on tinted windows adjust to suit the climate, while the five-position handlebar and lightweight rear wheels keep you moving smoothly. The removable handlebar bag converts into a shoulder bag or kid's backpack, so you can head into the store and leave the stroller locked up. *Only Available for Shipment to Lower 48 States.
Bottom Line: Take your kids for a ride in the fast lane with the Chariot Carrier CX2.
We bought this for our twins and love it. We had the girls out for a walk in it with two of the infant slings installed when they were 1.5 weeks old and started running with them in it when they were 3 weeks old on smooth pavement with no problems. It is large, however, but folds easily enough considering its size. The carrying case is good for protecting it and protecting the inside of your car, but it is so large it's not really practical for carrying. If you have twins you'll just get used to dealing with large items and lots of items, and if you want a versatile stroller for all activities and weather conditions, you can not do better than this one.
This is the second Chariot I have purchased. I originally purchased the CX1 after the birth of my first daughter in 2005, and I loved it. Then along came daughter #2, so in 2008 I decided to make the leap to the more expensive CX2. I was so impressed by the CX1 that purchasing the CX2 was really a no brainer. The new CX2 has a few upgrades I really like, such as the glow in the dark material along the front and sides (which glows really well if you are running during the transition from day to night). The tracking on the jogging setup needed a bit of tweaking before it ran true, but since then it has yet to lead me astray. The bike attachment seems a bit flimsy with two passangers going over rougher terrain, but it is still holding together just fine. The stroller attachment allows you to bike / jog to the store / market and still bring the carrier inside, it does however does tend to tip backwards if you have goodies in the back and the kids are not in the cab. I plan on purchasing the Cross Country Ski kit this winter - review to come. Overall you cant buy a better combo carrier, its pretty light for a two seater, vents extremely well in the heat, and provides enough shade to be out in the blazing sun while the kiddies sit inside comfortably looking at all of the crazy people out there. Not to mention that the seating and harness system is the best I have seen on any jogger / carrier. I have used these models in every season and the kids love it; even after 3000+ miles my CX1 was still in mint condition and I expect the same of my CX2. My only complaints is the lettering / insignia has flaked off after just a couple months use, and the handlebars have a little play in them. The carrier does seems a bit less bomb proof than my older model, maybe Chariot switched production facilities - I dunno. Still, all things considered, it is by far more solid and outperforms my friends BOB revolution for jogging, and is more comfy than the Burley trailer - not to mention it does it all.
We just got this carrier on Friday and used it all weekend it's fabulous! We got stuck in a downpour and the kids stayed dry. The shocks are the best I've ever seen. We've gone over railroad tracks and the kids just rock back and forth instead of being jostled and banged around. We're waiting for the strolling kit to become available so we can make better use of our trailer. I highly recommend this trailer. Others my husband and I looked at don't even come close.
