Bottom Line: Bring the whole family with the Chariot Cougar 2 Stroller.
I bought the stroller wheels (a MUST for just walking around) and this large stroller is so maneuverable it turns on a dime. I can easily push it with both my kids in it with one hand. I also bought the infant sling for my newborn and he is so cozy in there, and I feel he is really secure. Conversions are easy and having the ability and room to bring along the accessory pieces is a great feature. I biked to a local 5k race with kids in the trailer, then swapped out the tow arm for the jogging wheel, ran the race (died) and rode back home (died again!)
Best stroller on the market. I had so much confidence in the stroller, I took it on a very rugged and primitive trail. That was a mistake. It is good for some rough terrain, but it can't replace a good child carrier backpack. Even with using the hiking attachment and my wife pushing from behind, it was miserable on the rugged trails we were on. It was our fault, we overestimated it's "off-road" capabilities. Just keep it to medium grades, and trails that aren't too rough and you will be happy. DESPERATELY needs the brake kit, don't buy it without picking one up.
I purchased this about a year ago and it is absolutely wonderful! It is easy to switch out the various accessories, has plenty of storage for the parents and places for the kids to put things. You can take this out in any weather with the additional rain guard, it keeps well insulated, yet ventilated. I am now purchasing the baby attachment.
I have had mine for about three months and have gotten rid of every other jogger and stroller I had. I use the jogging, cycling and strolling kits, and they are all fantastic.
I bought this specifically because it is the only bike trailer I found that has suspension, and I wanted to be able to take it on trails. It works great, is easier than I expected to pull uphill, and my daughter loves it. Getting her to keep the helmet on (which is the law here in California) is another story.
For jogging, as long as you get the front wheel on just right, it tracks perfectly straight and is very easy to push one or two kids.
The strolling setup is great for trips to the zoo and grocery store as it is narrower than most doubles I've seen. If you jog on pavement, the stroller wheels work just fine.
An extra bonus is that your kids can't throw stuff out of it - even when the cover is off.
This Cougar 2 Stroller is one of the best outdoor equipment products we have purchased in any category. We bought it originally as a bike trailer but find we use it even more as a jogger. We are about to sell our other "name brand" baby jogger on eBay since we never use it anymore. The suspension system is excellent, and the multiple pockets are well-placed. Performs as well on dirt as it does on pavement. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I almost have my wife convinced we can sell our peg Perego stroller because this is all we use. The suspension is totally adjustible and way nice. It is so easy to get into the carrier and store stuff. Plenty of room for the little one and then store blankets and stuff near the feet. I love how you can prop the cargo storage near your feet to make more space. The handle bar is nice for flipping it upside down and pushing it up a steep hill. This thing locks in the heat too, our baby has stayed very warm! I noticed when you put on the jogger wheel it kind of wiggles and vears to the left, ask the company about that, I still havent figured out the trick.
