The Chariot Carrier Cougar 2 lets you customize your mode of transport, so you can carry your kids on the road, on the trail, or through the snow on your next adventure.
A wide cockpit and adjustable padding keeps them content while you use any of the five conversion kits (required, not included) to run, bike, hike, cross-country ski, or just stroll. Large mesh panels provide ventilation and protection from bugs, and the Cougar 2's suspension adjusts from soft to firm as your child grows. Soft grip handles, two lightweight rear wheels, and a sturdy frame make the Cougar 2 easy to push, and it quickly folds down for storage. Stash your keys and cell phone in the rear pocket and hit the road. *Only Available for Shipment to Lower 48 States.
Bottom Line: From the zoo to the bike trail, the Chariot Cougar 2 keeps you and your kids happy.
I love this for out 10 month old. She loves it. I put her in the middle and surround her with toys. she has a blast while i work out. We love going for walks with it. it's so light on it's wheels that my miniature dachshund can pull it. I'm looking forward to trying it with the cross country ski attachment this winter and bike attachment next spring.
We just bought the chariot and found that when we rode on a trail that lots of sand/grit got thrown back onto our daughter. We only used the mesh cover. Do we also need to use the plastic cover when we bike on trails? Has anyone had this happen to them?
Uhh.....lemme see here. You're using the mesh cover only and you're getting sand in the carrier....Do you need to use the plastic cover also to keep sand and grit out? If you really need that question answered you probably shouldn't own a bike or be trusted to take care of children.
This stroller has let me get out of the house during the worst winter in decades. My kids have stayed warm and dry and the chariots big wheels makes walking through the snow possible (although slow). I can't wait until the trails thaw and we can start putting on more miles!
I'm a mechanical engineer and also a very avid cyclist with a 14-month old. I've been itching to take my son out for a bicycle ride, so I began shopping for a high-quality trailer that would safely harness my little guy for casual or even tempo road bicycle rides. This trailer meets all of my expectations in this department. The padded seat and 5-point harness in this tailer is awesome! Lots of storage room, and the adjustable suspension does a pretty nice job smoothing the ride for the child (even though it is nothing more than a leaf spring). I bought the quick attaching Jogger Kit and Trailer Arm for my Cougar 2. I love the spead and ease with which these attach! The only complaint that I have (and it is kinda picky) is that the Cougar's rear wheels are not very true. For example, there is a very slight wobble in the wheels while rolling. Not a deal breaker, and nothing that can't be adjusted out if you're handy with a spoke tool, but for the price I was expecting more attention spent focussing on the "moving parts". Overall, a pretty sweet buggy!
Anyone selling theirs relatively cheap???!!! I have a 5-year-old an 3-year-old (and a 7-year-old) that need room. I am getting ready to train for mini-marathons then hopefully progress to full-scale marathons. Thanks. vchill@carolina.rr.com
It says:The Chariot Carrier Cougar Stroller does not come with front strolling wheels.Where can I buy them then?It also says:Recommended Use: Jogging, hiking, cycling, cross country skiingDo you have the jogging wheel for the cougar 2?
This bike trailer is FANTASTIC!!!!! We upgraded from a Burley solo. The chariot is much better in my opinion. I love that it is a double yet can be used as a single too. My 3 y/o and 1y/o absolutely love it. They want to go for a ride everyday! They seem super comfy in the seats, and I really like the harnesses... much better than that on my Burley ( although I have to give the Burley credit it is an older model). I have used this carrier many times in different types of terrain, you can't even tell it's behind you. We only have the bike trailer kit. That's all we need right now. We have plenty of strollers, and I love them all so I'm not getting rid of any to have this be a stroller. But, I do have a friend that has the jogging kit and loves it. Bottom line... I would recommend, and have, this trailer to anyone looking for a great quality carrier. It can be converted into almost anything...it's almost like magic, with a little money thrown in of course.
