The Columbia Boy's Bugaboo Parka's removable fleece liner and waterproof shell combo lets your kid adjust insulation to meet any winter occasion from skiing, to sledding, to waiting for the bus. A fully seam-taped, waterproof breathable nylon shell protects against winter snowstorms and spring downpours. Zip the included fleece liner into the Bugaboo Parka for warmth in dead-of-the-winter cold, or he can wear the liner alone during chilly summer nights. The Bugaboo Parka's tuck-away hood makes its appearance when the wind picks up and the snow starts to fall.
Bottom Line: The three-in-one Columbia Bugaboo Parka adjusts to keep you boy dry, warm, and comfortable regardless of the weather.
My 4 years old son loves his parka, but it is not easy for him to put it on because the cuffs have only one hook to join liner and shell. He wears it to play at snow and skiing and to go to preschool. And I am very happy because my son is warm and dry.
We just returned from a week in Salt Lake City, Utah and the jacket was great. My 10 year old snowboarded in the wind and snow, and never complained of being cold. It also repelled the water well. Great jacket for the cost.
when i saw that it was made in china, i became wary. when i tried to put something in a pocket, i lost it in the lining. the pocket had not been sewn or it was a return, repackaged and resold to me. i'm extremely disappointed in the product you sold me.
I am a small adult who purchased a youth bugaboo jacket system about 9 years ago. It has been great and held up well, but after 9 years I thought it was time for a new one. What a HUGE disappointment! The new bugaboo is a weak skeleton of its former self. The nylon outer layer feels more like plastic. The inner fleece is about 25% as thick as the old one. It is a cheaply-made (but certainly not inexpensively priced!) jacket. One big change? Old bugaboo=made in USA. New bugaboo=made in CHINA. I felt like I should test it for carcinogens/lead/other nastiness. If you don't know any better you might think the jacket is OK. Well, it is NOT and the Columbia company should be embarrassed to sell a product like this. Such a huge disappointment. Certainly not your fault. Your customer service was very good. Too bad the product Columbia are selling is junk.
We bought these for our older boys ten years ago. The same jackets are on their third set of owners as hand me downs, after many washings and years of use. Warm into the 40s at least- maybe 30s with a sweater under.
It's the perfect jacket for trips. The kids will always have a rain shell and a fleece when traveling.
I'm back buying one for my youngest, who is too big to retrieve the old ones back from friends.
