What does CAMP mean when the call the Nano Wire Carabiner light? They mean it weighs 1oz. The Nano Wire Carabiner is still rated to a super-strong 22kN, even though it weighs less than most key chains. Alpine climbers traveling ultralight in the mountains and trad climbers who're digging deep for a hard send should both take a long hard look at this tiny CAMP carabiner, and its weight.

Bottom Line: 1oz + 22kN = CAMP Nano Wire Carabiner.

lets use mine, its lighter!

I bought these biners to rack my cams individually so that I could still have them individually racked but lighter than ever. I really enjoy the lightness and compactness of these, however it takes a bit to get used to the size in your hand. I really liked how many I could rack on each gear loop and how non-clunky my butt felt as I climbed. Nice alpine feel. Now that I am used to clipping them I really like them!

Nano rocks

Only one minor complaint. If you are looking for a lightning fast clip and have big fingers, these might not work well for you. Other than that, they work great for me. I climb almost exclusively long, free trad routes. Took about 12 on the Red Dihedral route on the Incredible Hulk and want more.

great low weight biner

Product is as advertised. I'm not a climber, but this supported my weight 8 hours at a time in a hammock, with no problems, at about an ounce or less.

schweetly small

This thing is like one of those accessory carabiners but you can climb with it and it's still strong. My fat fingers have a hard time clipping these things. Dmm and Wildcountry make better full size lite weight alternatives.

Small hands? Beware...

By:
June 11, 2007

If you have small hands, these might take a bit of getting used to. I read the reviews, one would assume, by men with larger hands stating that this product has hard to use with "fat fingers." So, I assumed with small fingers, this would be great. And it is. Sadly, perhaps my hands and fingers are smaller than the average person's. So...with that said, I love these carabiners! But if you're a lass with small hands, these aren't quite the answer you've been searching for.
