Very practical backcountry pant. The full length zip gives you the freedom to shed the heat when and where you want on your bottom half. Suspenders keep your pants up and the powdah out. Get a pair!

I was looking for a lightweight, versatile, waterproof/breathable ski pant. The Koven is terrific. It actually has usable pockets (unlike the Arc'teryx Beta or Minuteman), has a softer feel, and it’s very comfortable. The removable suspenders are a good feature, and the waistband is nice and wide. It's not a bib in any sense, but the waist was a bit higher than I expected. It is also a baggier fit than the Arc’teryx, but not like a boarder pant. It runs a tad longer (same size) than the Arc'teryx. I wore them during the big, wet snows at Mammoth and they worked great. And they're cheaper than the Arcs! A all-around good value.

These pants worked better for me than I could ever hope for. They felt lighter and more comfortable than all the other shell pants I have skied in over the years. They are completely weatherproof, and I cannot tell the difference between my old heavier Gore-Tex pants and these Cloudveil pants. I am even thinking about getting another pair in other color just for fun. Everyone should try these pants! KT
