MSR Fuel Bottles - 2007

MSR Fuel Bottles are designed for use with your MSR threaded stove pump. MSR added handy and convenient features to their bomber Fuel Bottles. MSR Fuel Bottles are made of durable single-piece impact-extruded aluminum to prevent cracking, pressurized bulging, and leakage. Holes in the shaft of the bottle cap prevent spills and provide more controlled pouring capabilities. The threaded cap ensures an air-tight seal to prevent air from degrading the fuel when stored. When the Fuel Bottles are depressurized, you can store your MSR Fuel Pump in it for easy transport.

Bottom Line: MSR designed these long-life Fuel Bottles for heavy use in rugged terrain.

Pack It & Forget It

Not only are these fuel bottles strong, they don't leak even with a pump attached. They also hold a lot of pressure without bulging out the bottom. When I use my gas/kerosene stoves, these bottles carry my fuel without worry.

Takes a beating

I have kicked the crud out of mine, there's just no killing them. A water bottle sleeve (neoprene type) or a couple quick turns of duct tape help keep it from slipping around on rocks and ice, which solves my only complaint. A micro-bungie connecting it to my Trillium helps a lot too.

Out of mind

Never in years of camping/backpacking/skiing, have I ever even considered the possibility of any trouble in regards to this fuel bottle. Its 22oz holds 2-3 days of cooking/snow-melting fuel for two or three people. Bomber and-a-half.

Great size

Just the right size for solo outings or even a couple of days with a small group if you're not melting snow.

Bomber Fuel Bottle

If you need to carry liquid fuel, these bottles are the only way to go. I have never broken one before I lost it. Sometimes if you let them sit for too long, they can be tough to open.

No worries with this bottle

I have one of these that is 10 years old. The only problem I have ever had is the O ring cracked and started to break. Even with the cracking it never leaked. I replaced it and it is as good as new. I do like the newer bottles for their superior top. Bottom line is you can't go wrong with this fuel bottle
