CAMP USA Radion Ice Screw

Speed is safety in the alpine, so shave some time off your screw placements with the CAMP Radion Ice Screw. With an integrated dyneema sling and steel hanger that spins independently of the shaft, you can leave the quickdraws at home and increase efficiency on vertical ice climbs. The pre-equipped sling also allows you to clip in while screwing in to add safety in the event of a fall while placing. The lightweight sling also features multiple clip-in points for easy adjustability.

Bottom Line: Increase efficiency and safety with the Radion Ice Screw.

What about the lack of ice screamer. Seems everyone I climb with uses screamers on all but the rarest of situations. Anyone see a problem with this?

You can still clip a screamer into the runner. Just like clipping the hanger itself on other screws.

I've never seen a screamer used on an ice screw. You can usually find screamers in quickdraw form though.

I can't say that I used them yet although I'm buying a couple to add to my rack. I was talking with Bob Culp who is a long time ice/rock climber/instuctor in Boulder. He loves them and after asking the same question you are he said they are not a problem when racked.
