CamelBak Mini Mule Hydration Pack - Kids' - 2008

Kids who love tearing down rocky mountain-bike trails need to hydrate, which is why CamelBak made the Kids' Mini MULE Hydration Pack. This pack gives mountain biking groms and gromettes enough water for one to two hours on the trail, and enough storage to haul tools and an extra layer. The Mini MULE's Airmesh backpanel keeps kids cool while they ride, and full-zip access to the reservoir makes filling and emptying easy for both parents and kids. This Mini CamelBak works best for kids ages five and up.

Bottom Line: CamelBak's Mini MULE keeps your kid hydrated on the trail.

My Grandson Loves it

By:
October 22, 2008

My 5 year old grandson hikes frequently with his mom and dad. This allows him to carry his own "supplies" as well as water. It is high quality and was a perfect gift for him.

Write your question here... Where does the tube go to get around

Write your question here... Where does the tube go to get around to their mouth, across chest up to other side or do you shove the tube into the pack and just have it come out enough to be mouth level on that side?

Summer camp, hiking, you name it - love it!

By:
August 4, 2008

I got one of these two years ago for my son (we have been through two bite valves but I believe he has figured out you don't chew on them). This summer it has gone EVERYWHERE with us for the last two months and used five days a week. The backpack part is really durable and has a lot of pockets. He has spent the last two weeks at a farming summer camp and thrown the pack on the dirt, from the looks of it, constantly - yet it is not ripped or damaged at all. For family camp located in a dry, high altitude part of Colorado he was one of the only children who did not suffer from lack of water consumption since he could just sip when he wanted to and the 1.5L would last him most of the day. I have packed it with sunscreen, lip balm, a hat, glasses case and lunch with no problems. I love it!

I bought a Camelbak «Mini Mule» in or around Bar

I bought a Camelbak «Mini Mule» in or around Bar Harbour Maine USA on the 2nd of June 2008.
MY grandson took it and trying to get the water out with his teeths cut a hole in the Bite Valve (the type with ergo hydrolock)
I live in New Brunswick, Canada.
How can I replace it ?

Most backcountry stores have them . REI has them for $6. Not sure what stores you have around there, but you can even get them online. Hope this helps!

Children's Mini-Mule

By:
May 15, 2008

I bought two packs. My 3 an 5 year old boys love them.
My oldest spent 1/2 an hour planning the perfect things to load it with, 20 feet of 5 mm cord, windbreaker, hat mittens, extra socks, flashlight, snack, windpants. He helped me fill the bladder with over a liter of water. Best yet both boys carried their packs without a single complaint for 2 miles. I had none of their gear!

The packs are well constructed, highly ergodynamic, adjustable, no obvious failure points. Good colors. The bladders are very rugged.

One concern, the bite valves don't stand up to the chewing that my young kids submit them to. I may need to buy stock in the company that supplies Camelback with bite valves.
