Burton Launch Jacket - Men's

The relaxed-fit Burton Men’s Launch Jacket delivers protection for warm days in the park or during backcountry booter sessions. Burton’s comfy ALS mesh lining increases the Launch’s mobility and breathability so you can hike back up the pipe without a swamp ruining your next run. Burton designed its Dryride Durashell two-layer DWR-coated fabric to shield you from the elements while allowing excess heat to disperse before turning into sweat. You might biff your next hit, but the Burton Launch Jacket keeps you warm and dry so you can get back up and repeat launch sequence.**DISCONTINUED**

Bottom Line: Launch into the mountain atmosphere in the Burton Launch Jacket.

Great for the price

I love this jacket. It fits great and the pocket placements are perfect. It is 5K/5000g so it is not that waterproof or breathable, but it is very lightweight. Get it on sale.

Christmas present for son

By:
January 26, 2009

I purchased the jacket as a Christmas present for my son after comparing prices and finding the best price with your store. My son and I ski/snowboard a couple times a week at Whitefish Mountain Resort/Big Mountain and the jacket has proved to stand up to the wear and tear so far. My son is very pleased with the jacket, it arrived quickly and without any hassle.

Thanks Chris Bishop

any comments on using this jacket in warm powder days and the backcountry? i have a gortex insulated Quiksilver that about 5 years old that i get too warm in when i have zip it up to keep the powder out and the temp is 30 degrees plusi will keep using my gortex on cool days but want another jacket for warmer days that can still keep my dry. so this would be to use:1.) on warms days in the resort when there's powder and may be snowing2.) hiking in the backcountry. this will usually be when its sunny but with powder.. right??any input would be great!thanks

I purchased the jacket as a Christmas present for my son and he is very pleased with it. He and I ski/snowboard a couple times a week at Whitefish Mountain Resort/Big Mountain and the jacket seems to be holding up and doing the job fine. The shipping was fast and hassle free, we are very happy powder pigs. "PRAY FOR SNOW"

It's designed for "warm days in the park" so you might want to think about a different jacket or be prepared for some serious layering. You should also consider that its rated at 5k waterproof/breathable which is kinda low.RippinStick says: I shred the beautiful Wasatch daily, and I would totally rock this jacket. I wear a shell jacket at the Bird on all but the coldest of days with a baselayer and sweater or light fleece. Barrett is right though, 5K waterproof rating is fairly low. You might get damp on those days when it's nuking snow.

The light Camo print is sooo steeze in the slope! Here is a picture of Keven Pearce with it: http://formatmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/npburton3.jpg

SICK! If you need a jacket I really suggest this!
