Alyeska to Valle Nevado, the Burton Men's AK 2L Stagger Jacket can hang. Guaranteed to keep you dry Gore-Tex Performance Shell fabric won’t back down no matter what the skies do, and Burton’s ALS Tech lining puts layers where you need them for warmth without overheating. On warmer days, unzip the AK 2L Stagger jacket's Underarm zips and vented chest pockets to create a wind tunnel. Burton’s Sig Fit means the AK 2L Stagger fits baggy, but not too gangsta’d out.**DISCONTINUED**
Bottom Line: The Burton AK Stagger Jacket—wet-weather armor for the seasoned rider.
Amazing Jacket! Absolutely one of the best jackets I've bought. Was thinking about a couple from Arc'Teryx but the thinner 2 layer Gore-Tex is perfect. It keeps you completely dry but it doesn't overheat you at all. Great pocket location, easy to reach zippers. Cut slightly baggier but it's more so you could layer because it doesn't look like it's cut baggy. My only advice is if you wear a helmet religiously, be forewarned. The hood does NOT have enough room for a helmet. I have a hard time putting the hood on even without a helmet. Other than that absolutely best jacket.
can anyone tell me about sizing in general for Burton jackets? I am looking at an XL but not sure if it will be big enough and XXL's are as rare a rocking horse sh*t. I am 6'5" and 220 pounds, i have long arms and wide shoulders. Is the XL a big fit or will i look like i'm wearing a sleeping bag if i get an XXL? thanks.
Hey Glen, I would not buy the XL if I were you. It will not fit length wise. I would look for some other Burton gear in XXL, and some of the Ronin XL styles will fit. Hope this helps!

Great Shell. Very happy with my purchase. I have a 39" chest. Initially got a Medium, which was slightly too tight in the shoulders and returned it for a Large, which is bigger than I like, but better than the medium. The material used for this jacket is good and tough. I ride Northeast trees so I'm constantly in contact with branches. With this jacket, I've had no worries about the jacket getting snagged or ripping (stay away from the Cyclic line). Keeps you dry and warm with the right layers. Hood fits over my helmet. Perfect pocket placement and number. Ipod pouch is useless though. It's too low in the inner pocket and your ipod will bounce around when riding. I use my fleece layer's pocket instead. I have classic Black. Won't go out of style next year.
hey dude, whatever the price reads, thats what it is......theres lots of strange price curves to burtons lines on this website...the reason why is because Burton dictates the pricing for all their products being sold on backcoutry. if elecrtric Blue in small is in high demand, they keep the price high. its all about burton making money :-(...sucks too cuz thats a sick jacket
The good people at Gore-Tex dun gone and done it again. If you buy the accompanying pants you can zip these together for a full waterproof suit, with powder skirt, very Nice. The Baggy look is good but I'm not sure why they would want the sleeve so long. Overall great jacket esp. with the pant combo looks great, I got the stone. But here is the rub... the hood has no drawstring closure and is no where near big enough for a helmet, everyone wears a helmet anymore. This should only be annoying when on lift and the wind is whipping, otherwise who uses the hood, but still, who at Burton was on a 'smoke break' before designing the hood. Boo. Great deal from Backcountry!
I have last years model in the 3D Landscape and love it! great jacket all around i generally wear a large but its way too baggy but thats just me. I like a lil baggy but the large was way too baggy for my liking, anyone know where i can find the Radical green in a medium ive looked everywhere
Bought for my son who has used Burton coats before and wanted the better quality fabric in this model. As he goes to school in NY it is well worth the price.
This jacket is very comfortable, roomy in all the right areas. Has tons of pockets for all the stuff that might be needed on the slopes. It looks great too.
New sig fit is great, roomy in the right places(shoulders for mobility) but not to big as it is from the AK line. From chair laps to all day hikes OB, this shell kills it. Super breathable and tough enough to slash through the east coast tree's.
