haven't been able to test it out in the wild yet, but so far i love it. i've owned enough burton gear to know the quality in their products. and i have no doubt it will be bomb proof for the descents. i just hope it will be breathable enough for the way up. in situations where it is not, it's definitely small enough to fit in my pack. i'm 6'1" 170 lbs. and the small fits perfect, which is a little unusual — generally i wear a medium. but after having tried on the latest burton garb, i noticed that their stuff is running a little big these days, so i went with the small. i also have long arms, so im glad there's enough length there too.the hazel isn't quite as dark as the photo above, which was also a nice surprise.

i'm docking a star for lack of wrist gaiters — even with the velcro closed tightly around my gloves (which btw isn't quite as stylish) i had to hike the sleeves down multiple times to keep out the powder. i'm going to have to sew in my own wrist gaiters.

I found this jacket performs fantastic, the core insulation is great, on warm days a light base layer is all that is needed and not much more on the cold ones. I have a smith variant brim helmet and although I do have to slightly unzip the collar to get the hood over the helmet It fits just fine with still full range of motion. I both ski and snowboard and have been extremely happy with how the jacket repelled water while strapping in and during a fairly uncharacteristic wet snowfall here in CO. It has great pockets and function, I am not a fan at all of tall tees and excessively baggy clothing and I have to disagree with the previous review, I'm 5'11" and about 175 lbs and my usual burton medium fits perfect. Paired with a pair of AK stagger pants with the zip in compatibility I really am pleased with this purchase and now for this price you can't go wrong! I highly recommend this jacket, the only thing I would say is that the brilliant blue is more like a light sea blue but still got several compliments and people wanting to know what jacket it was. Great jacket, lightweight, great waterproof, you can layer under it for cold days and shed down on spring sunny days..in the end very versitle

This is a mediocre jacket that does not perform as the price indicates it should. In my experience it is excessively baggy, and poorly designed. For example, the hood does not fit over an average sized helmet when the jacket is zipped up. The waterproofing on this jacket seems very average. Your money would be much better spent on a gore-tex jacket, which you should be able to find for around the same price.
